My best mate was one of them broke his back while doing it as well mind he's a mag so not all bad.PS fully recovered after a year.
Inheritance? I want yo say congratulations on getting yourself set up but inheritance normally means you've lost someone close so condolences (lots of assumptions in that sentence so apologies if any of them are wrong). As far as getting yourself sorted and settling down starting a family etc. Good luck fella. As for housing. I love Nettlesworth (where I live) and my 3 bed semi was valued at £85k last week when I had it valued. Don't know enough about the areas you mentioned to pass comment though but good luck
Yeh mate nettleswoth Lived there for 6years in the early 80s nice place Still have friends there now.

This is view from my balcony, unobstructed river view to right. I know we are all Mackem but it's a ****ing great view, all the bridges and the river. Beaut.
My Da died in 99 mate. The house has been held in trust since while my da's partner lived there. I didn't want it till much closer to retirement but she's given it up so it's coming early. Once the trustie has sold it I'll get the money. I should be more excited apparently but it's just money. Cheers for heads up I'll take a look at the area.
I will do. First task when it comes though is to pass my test and get a car. Dreading that but must be done if w're starting a family.
who's a lucky boy then, been looking for you down here ,needs a lick of paint but its in the price bracket.
Lucky? It's just another a stress I don't need. Can't wait till it's done with and sorted. Even good things can be very stressful and deteriorate my health. I want's to stay in the north though Stu. We've both got family up here so will be staying put for a good decade or so.
There's brand new builds getting released at St James Village mate by Gateshead stadium, starting at 78k, great access, metro and Asda nearby, established community. Would make quick equity for sure, I'd get one to rent out but I can't be arsed at minute ha.
Hate new builds with a passion. I know it can make a quick 10, 20 grand if you buy at the plot stage then when the estates are finished the value shoots up. I just hate new builds. Won't live in one.
That's fair mate I totally get it, I love them personally my place is about 4 year old, but my plan long term is an old country place or a Victorian terrace. I could really see myself with a hit of land and a few animals like, in the not massively distant future.
Decent garden is high on the list. Both me and my lady both love it as a hobby. Something like this would be ideal. Though this would need a bit of work upstairs to get a shower room in. It will be well gone by the time I'm ready to buy though. Got all this red tape to sort out first and solicitors are never in a hurry. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-62341433.html
If you love gardening buy in 'Sheels . . . . I've been looking for a gardener that I can trust for years
