As above. My wife is unwell though so at least it won't be greeted with snorts of derision or 'thats good' when saints score!
Really tempted to do ignore it and check it at like 10.00 but not sure i can bear to not be listing. Although i hate listing to!
After much deliberation....I've decided to try and forget it's happening, enjoy the evening with a break from revision and then check the score at 10...or in the morning. Problem is, if I check the score at 10 I will be buzzing (either with joy , or despair ) so I won't be able to sleep. But then again, I don't know if I can wait until the morning! Mrs Supertramp is getting sick and tired of my mood swings following game days
Its just when the commentators and talking drivle and just blurt out GOAL and then you have about 10 seconds of pure suspense not knowing who scored
Round the missus parents for dinner tonight, no radio to listen to,no keyboard to constantly press F5 on, no SSN, nothing! And they expect me to sit there and make small talk all evening not knowing the score/result!!!!!!!!!
Cheers! apparently most people are more interested on some team called Real Madrid. No accounting for taste!
i completely ignored the match tonight, recently when ive had ssn, bbc and the saints page up and its been baws, but when i forgot all about the palace game we got a result, so took that as the best way to go! superstitions, whod have em???
I managed to hibernate until 10pm. Turned phone back on and it was a-ringing!!!!! Not up yet, but oh, so close! What a difference 4 days make in our moods!!! COYR WE ARE GOING UP, WE ARE GOING UP!
Finished playing footy, put the radio on, not a mention on five live in the car. Got home, put player on, 3-0 up. Nice.
I was the happy one! He wasn't happy with the result for his team, but was pleased for me and Southampton FC. (Might have been a different story if they had relegation worries)
when we hopefully clinch promotion. I still look at the table and find it hard to believe that we are in this position. Feeling slightly anxious if I'm honest. I suppose it's only natural with our history to expect us to blow it. That combined with the fact that it's live on Sky makes me very nervous. Nigel and the players have proved numerous times in the past two years though that they can cope with pressure so fingers crossed we will all be celebrating come 7.15 tomorrow night. Wish I was going but family commitments make that impossible. For those of you going roar the lads home! The rest of us will have to make do with screaming at the TV! COYR!!!
I do hope we settle the promotion issue tomorrow. Going into the last day and needing a win would be such a tense experience. On the last day I would like a relaxed party atmosphere from start to finish.
I'll probably be following the game on here and sky sports score centre online. Unless I chicken out like I did against the other Boro and wait until the morning to find out the result!
