Six were pre-season.

You really are scraping the barrel to justify your dislike of the new coach, Ben. It’s a bit sad.

I don’t dislike him.

He had 5 pre-season games to project his system. Even I don’t think he’d wait ‘til the season starts to begin his project.

You, & others, are really scraping the barrel to justify your dislike of our old coach.

Tim isn’t up to it. Out of his depth. My view, live with it.

  • Preseason was wrong - Wrong level of clubs and was pointless as the squad was bare bones.
  • Squad was weak and rebuilt - Timing means we only now have everyone in with most coming in Aug. New squad weren't able to take part in pre-season.
  • New style of play - In theory similar to Rosenior's however it differs vastly on one key area - Rosenior was all about protecting the ball at all costs, slowing the game down and passing around the back. Walter's is more pro-risk, don't pass back, move and pass forward. Some of the old guard are struggling to change that mentality.
We still haven't seen many of the new signings start. You could argue that the first 4 games were more akin to pre-season, but we still haven't seen the new players. I hope Walter is daring enough to throw what he thinks is his starting 11 out against Sheff United.

I think we'll pick up, I think we'll finish 10th but would have picked up 6th if we'd got more out of the team in the 1st third of the season.

Is Walter Pro Risk? We still have a lot of the ball and the majority of it is still between the gk and cb's. Yes we do have moments but, not enough to say Walter is Pro Risk. Where's the evidence so far?

Our back 4 plus Slater drilled on ****ing around at the back for 18 months. Theyve only had 3 months so far to adjust.

If Walter can't get those 4/5 players to understand how he wants them to play after 3 months, including a full preseason, then maybe we do have a problem.

There are many valid reasons to give Walter some slack over the slow start to the season but blaming the previous manager at this point is ludicrous...

I expect to see the team play much more in TW's style on Friday and build from there now the squad is settled.

I think that’s a tough ask based on what I have seen so far. Terrible.

Still early days but we need to see big improvements soon. I know Towles went 17/18 games without winning and still survived last year, but I don't want to take that chance!

4th
On the very optimistic element of tims tactics being a surprise
We will have a strong start
Tail off but get some big january recruits and manage 4th
But 20 points behind automatics

Still stand by it

What about the bed wetters;)
