Now that DM has settled in, where do you think we will finish, i still think it will be touch and go, but with a couple more signings, i think we will just pull through. Thoughts.

We have good players,Delboy and Doc and things have turned around,still a bit dodgy but I think we'll survive,so with tongue in cheek I'll say16th or 17th place with 58 or 56 points...
I think we shall finish at Burnley on saturday April 28th, but if we carry on with our current momentum, might have 3 more games...
Already under DM regime we have seen a dramatic improvement not purely from results but from the style, manner, optimism and confidence he has engendered,
1- ability to recover when opposition score- v Barnsley and Burnley
2- ability to defend resiliently when needed v West Ham
3- ability not to cave in during last 10 minutes
No doubt we are still early doors and in a honeymoon period, but the style, manner, cohesion, confidence shown under the new regime are so different to that over he past 2 seasons- it is such a remarkable turnabout. no doubt there will still be a bad day at the office, but such is the optimism at the moment, that I feel Bristol City are moving up.
My prediction we will finish 6th.

I think we may well have another blip at some point but will gain enough points to avoid any serious fears of relegation. (hopefully)

I think a lot depends on whether NM stays here in January, whether DM can find a really dominating centre half in January, on loan or permanent and how we fare with injuries and suspensions after Christmas. I hope for mid table obscurity but have the feeling that it's more likely to be between 21st and 17th. I just hope it doesn't go to the last day. So long as we stay up, I'll be content.
Remember how often a team just avoids relegation and yet, get themselves safely in the top half of the table for the entire next season. But let's not get carried away - three matches without defeat hardly mean we've become wordbeaters overnight. I said on another thread that should we survive, then three or four years of top 8 or even top half finishes coupled with some cup runs and the new stadium, would lead us to a good strong base to make a realistic effort for promotion. At the moment it's all about survival!
And finally congrats to St Johnstone for their 0-0 draw at Ibrox. It takes guts and determination to get results there. I firmly believe that Derek McInnes will instil that attitude at Ashton Gate. Some years ago while living in Scotland, I watched Saints at Dunfermline. The Saints right back scored with a screamer from 35 yards and I immediately stood up and applauded it. Only to sit down even faster when I suddenly remembered that I was in the Pars (Dunfermline) end. Fortunately those around me regarded me as a lunatic Englishman rather than a visiting hooligan.

Guys, aiming WAY TOO LOW - we will be above mid table by Christmas and then the world is our oyster - applied some more funds to Hills ridiculous odds on being promoted by any means before I went on holiday for 2 weeks (before Millwall and Southampton) and I am confident we will finish AT LEAST top 10 and ithink that Manx has the right idea....
If we continue with the same momentum I'd be amazed if we didn't finish in the top 8. Saying that there's so little in it points-wise and in terms of the quality of the teams in the division, we could be 6th or 16th as there's only a few points in it.
