Now the window is nearly closed (loans excepted), time to give this another go. On the first version I had us mid table, on the assumption that our 'treasures' would leave. Some still could of course in the January window, but I've revised my expectations upwards significantly now, though I still think we are weak at RB and in CB cover. I can't imagine there is a stronger (or bigger) midfield choice in this division and we obviously have the striker most likely to score. Even better, barring plague affecting everyone but him, I can't see how Mackie gets a kick.

So I reckon promotion (not sure if this will be a good thing, but I'll celebrate) should be the expectation, anything less than a play off place a failure.

Time to update your predictions.

Good idea to take stock and think again.
I am cured of over optimism so I'll go for playoffs. A great way to get promoted as we know thought the alternative is unthinkable!
With the squad we've not got I agree that anything less than playoffs must surely be deemed a failure. Of course we could still lose players in January.
What on earth has happened to FFP?!!

This squad should make the play-offs as a minimum, now we've managed to hold on to Charlie and Matty. If the other members of the squad up their game we should really be challenging for automatic, but this is QPR and we never do things the easy way, so I've gone for play-offs, hoping that our Wembley experience will see us through again!

I've upgraded from just missing out on the play-offs to making them.
3rd-4th hopefully.

Play offs as a minimum.
Reckon a lot Champs clubs will see that we've now held on to Chaz/Matty/Leroy etc. and will think that whoever can finish above QPR will be promoted. Too optimistic?

If we are doing well why should we lose players in January...I think we will get rid of the dross and only add quality in Jan if we are around play offs or better..

I'm going for 2nd, I would have said Champions with the squad we have now but being QPR, we are never going to make it with out a few ups, downs and scary moments...

We ought to be in with a good chance of another promotion with this squad and I think a decent Manager. The target must be the top 2, as we cannot expect another play off miracle, and I'll go for an optimistic 2nd too.

If we bring in a decent right back on loan and don't suffer a long term injury to Charlie,i think we can storm it.So I'm going for us to be Champions!

I feel so good after that marvellous window that I'm going to stick my head out of it and predict that we're going to do significantly better than 1st at the very least.

I hope everyone realises that with this high level of expectation we are in for a season of panic, despair and 'Ramsey out' threads with every draw, loss and poor performance. We are, after all, QPR fans.

We're still a bit iffy at the back but Charlie and Matty staying gives us the firepower to finish Top Four, as Hammersmith Jnr says, bring in a proper right back on loan and possibly another striker and we'll be set fair.

Remember this is the Championship, it'll be a rollercoaster ride. I really wonder why I support the Rs sometimes...
