Only having a bit of fun, calm down Your mate reckoned, you'd make up 4 points or more on us in the 3 games so I was putting it out there that we'd go 6 further above you
And here I thought Sunderland, and Villa were easily winnable games, with Spurs being winnable as well. And Spurs have to go to a revitalized Newcastle where they will most likely drop points, easily enough for us to overturn their lead by winning the derby. Silly me, believing I'm the team equals deluded optimism in your book. My bad.
To be honest it's not just us anymore. Only one team seems to be consistently nowadays, and that is Man U. Getting to top 4 is a bit of a lottery this season.
Oh come on... if Liverpool come anything higher than 7th someone else will have had to have monumentally f**ked up!
Where's the fun in staying schtum and not making any interesting predictions? I couldn't give a rats arse if I was called deluded, it's one of the most misused words on this site. It's not deluded to say that you think either side would gain points on the other during the 3 games, especially considering we play eachother during that period. It'd be ignorant to say Spurs were definitely going to be 10 points ahead come 4th March, or that Arsenal would go ahead of us after that game but deluded? Deluded would be a fan of a midtable side saying they're the best team in the League, see the difference? It would be dull if we all waited until the end of the season before commenting.
we're not going to Newcastle, they are coming to us,that put a different slant on it, for you? I wish you goon's would get your fact's right
Don't worry, Arsenal87 is just prone to a little bit of complete ****ing meltdown So his idea of deluded is anybody who doesn't think Wenger and the board are trying to destroy the club from within.
Ok so there is 4 points between us at the moment, with 2 games until we play each other. Sunderland (A) and Villa (H) for Arsenal. Newcastle (H) and West Ham (A) for Tottenham. For me they are winnable games for both teams, Sunderland can be difficult to break down and Newcastle are on form so those are the fixtures i would suggest may see an upset. So there is a chance that we could fall further behind or catch up. A loss or draw for Tottenham in one game if Arsenal win both will mean the spuds game is an opportunity to jump them. A loss or draw for Arsenal in one game if Tottenham win both will mean no chance to jump them in our game. If we both win one game, we draw one and tottenham lose one, we will have a chance to overtake them in our game. The other thing to remember is inbetween those 3 games we also play Bayern and Tottenham play Lyon - so fatigue, little injuries, moral boosts, form etc can all change alot more than if it was 3 league games in a row. Personally i think we will be in a position to overtake spurs in the derby, but at worst i'd say after the 3 games we will be the same 4 points behind that we are now. We are playing well and growing in confidence and performance and Spurs have some striker issues. By the end of the season though i have no doubt we will be above you lot
HAHAHAHAHAHA - he called A87 sensible! That loses him all credibility! And not because i disagree with his views but rather the way he puts them across - sensible is definately not a word that springs to mind! I love the fans who go on about a power shift. They have had a few good results against is in over a decade, currently we seem to beat them 5-2! And we consistently finish above them even when our worst seasons coincide with there best. Arsenal have a far higher reputation since Wenger has been at the club than Liverpool across the continent due to our consistent performances in the CL and Wengers high regard and success. And as such i highly doubt we are about to stop attracting top talent. Our most recent signings and the players we have been in for (Capoue, Villa) and signs from the board would suggest that we are improving the quality of player we are bringing in, not the reverse. We also have a board who very much believe in what they are doing and have alot of belief in our Manager and so i see it as highly unlikely he will be sacked. If some spurs fans are waiting for us to have a Liverpool-esque collapse they are going to be left waiting a long time! We are, despite our current league position, at a point where we have a platform to build from. Our key players are all tied to contracts for the next 3-5 years (bar Sagna), which is a key thing that has let us down in recent seasons. We have money to spend without selling players for the first time in a long time due to our new sponsorship deals. And all our Deadwood players are reaching the end of there contracts freeing up extra space in the squad and extra funds for wages. We are in a great position to push forward. And i fully expect us to get top 4 this season at Spurs expense
Factually incorrect. Wilshere, RVP, Aguero, Mata, Hazard, Suarez are all better and the list goes on. The only thing you're right about is that Bale is better than Spurs
