Maybe we should make a bid for Bale in the summer ? We've got a decent transfer kitty now. He wouldn't come cheap, but I'm sure he'd relish the chance to make the step up to playing champions league football and it would mean that he could stay in London. Walcott on the right and Bale on the left would be a great combination
Probably right. As much as I'd like to see him in an Arsenal shirt, he is after all an Arsenal fan and it would be like coming home for him. I think Real will make a bid that Bale and the Spuds won't be able to refuse
"Listen, there aren't any release clauses in English football," he said. "It's very hard to negotiate with Tottenham, as you know, and we are not willing to let our best assets go." AVB's comment to you all.
He also said that keeping him will depend on getting Champions League football when asked if he will stay. If he were our player, I'd like my manger to keep his mouth shut about him instead of keep going on about whether he'll stay or go depending on where we finished. Do you think that AVB comparing him to Ronaldo was a little unwise too ? After all, Mourinho has him in his sights and they could both play in the same team on either flank. Maybe it was a subconscious 'come and bid for him' freudian slip . . ?
Why play with inferior players if he is to move up. Bales loves a passionate crowd and the insipid atmosphere on offer would be enough to blow his brains out.
Irony PISKIE Irony! Your manager has presided over the loss of so many top players like RVP that I can't remember them all. I don't think we need lessons from Arsenal who have lost more of their top players than any other CL team in the PL.
The difference being that Bale would leave for a team who can offer him CL football, which we could do. Who knows, maybe he'll opt to join us where he can meet his ambitions . . . personally I think he'll end up at either Real or Utd though. They would be willing to pay the over inflated price that Levy will demand. I'd still be a bit annoyed with AVB though, it seems that he's adding fuel to the speculation about Bale's eventual move from Spurs by bringing it up after every good game he has. Perhaps he knows deep down that you can't keep a player like Bale at a club who can't offer him football at the level he can play at.
We will see, bit premature about offering CL football PISKIE will you make top 4? Unless of course you win it.
HIAG is the undisputed king of clowns, no one on this whole site even comes close to matching his antics lol, im still undecided as to whether he a complete troll or just not right in the head.
HIAG is not a troll my friends, he's a typical deluded Spurs fan, most of them think and talk like him. I've been saying it for a while, when it comes to the most annoying dimheaded fans, Spurs fans take the cake for that. It goes like this: United fans: arrogant plastic ****s Chelsea fans: glory hunters who forgot about history and think football began in 2005 Spurs fans: delusional annoying idiots who think their gods gift to football after a short run of good form
Here you go, Spurs fans are all a bunch of delusional ****s: On another note though, is it just me, or do all Spurs fans look like ****s as well?
Bale .... join your lot .... **** me and you call us lot delusional RVP had CL football but left to win things...so did Nasri, Clichy, Toure, Cole etc. With all due respect if he wanted to leave spurs surely he'd go to a club that win things and in case you've forgotten this is 2013 not 1998-2005. I remember Berkamp (excuse spelling) giving an interview when you lot were a top team and he said that no one at arsenal cared about anything to do with spurs except for derby day...the players and fans didn't see us as rivals in any way...now you lot are obsessed with our players and about how we'll return to being **** when they leave...but surprisingly enough it ain't happened and won't happen. Carrick left and we remained in the top 5 Berbatov and Keane left and within 2 years we ended up in the top 4 Modric, RVP and Redknapp left and we've continued to challenge for the top 4 We ain't the best team in the league by a long shot but it does make me laugh how desperate you lot are for us to lose our players...suggests that you lot know that your team have fallen a long way in the past 8-10 years Look on the bright side Bendtner will return next season to add a touch of class to you
