He thinks he’s banned but I’ve told him if like me he’s banned from that scrote Reams’ site doesn’t mean he’s banned from ProBoards.

Exactly. Global does not have the power to ban him from the whole Proboards universe.

If he does have any trouble registering at the Lifeboat using the name & password he has used before on ITTV,
Elfs should try using a slightly different username and a different PW.

I have access to ITTV but it’s asking for new sign in details for the lifeboat …… can’t really be arsed for more bloody passwords etc :emoticon-0138-think

Since ITTV and the CAFC lifeboat are completely different sites that just happen to both use the Proboards format, it should be possible for anyone to register & log on to both sites using the same username and password.

But the Proboards 'link' between the sites may not allow that.
I would not recommend it either, to be honest.
Granted it means another username and a fresh password to remember, but for the security of the forums and all members that is a necessary inconvenience I think.

Presently there is no wait for permission when it comes to registering on the CAFC lifeboat.
Once a username and password are successfully entered, a member should be able to log in straight away.
I would only have to change that if the lifeboat was to be targeted by one or more people registering, then acting in bad faith.

I've read that there have been some technical tweaks to Cloudflare over the weekend.

I know Elfs is fairly sure his problem is not a Cloudflare one, but maybe he should try to log on again anyway...

I have passed on the news to @brb and the others who worked on getting the issue sorted.
I hope now that the fix remains stable :emoticon-0126-nerd:
I could not agree more.

The important thing(for most) is that it has been resolved, but I am interested as to why/how this situation caused loads of grief and upset, not just for me.
