How much further in the future have we got to wait? He is 25 years old - older than Vaughan, Johnson, Martin and Jackson. He has never consistently performed above Div 2. He didn't score consistently in Div 1 despite having Grant Holt to help him which is why PL bought Johnson to back up Holt and Martin. Why are some City supporters reluctant to accept that if players come in others have to go out and we can't hold on to everybody in the hope that someday they will get a chance in the team and take it. Last year it was Spillane and what happened? He went to Brentford and by the end of the season couldn't get in the team. If Pl thought Cody could make it he wouldn't sell him and wouldn't have bought all the other strikers.

  2. Why let him out on loan, his contract expires next season and after a small amount of games for us, I find it unlikely he will want to sign a new one?

We either cash in on him now whilst he's worth something or lose him for free, the way I see it. I like him, I actually think his all round game pretty much equals that of CMS. He scores headers, volleys and well placed shots, especially judging on these:

It's interesting that we are letting him speak to Oldham when it seems they want to loan him as they are basically saying they can't afford him...? There are plenty of teams in for him, one of them must be wanting to buy him.

Whatever he does, I wish him all the best as he has worked his socks off to get to where he is.

We'll take him off your hands, would love to see him link up with Gillespie, dont suppose you've got a half decent midfielder going cheap ?.

Dave, there's "cheap" and "cheep", dont really care how cheap, as long as its cheap, i know all budgies cheep, but would they be cheap enough for us, and would they still cheep away from the nest.

Hello Monarch. You have missed the best one - Matt Gill was not offered a new contract and would have done a good job for you. He went to Walsall on loan for a couple of months last year and turned their season round. Unfortunately Bristol Rovers have already snapped him up. Stephen Hughes is a good passer of the ball and you could probably get him for next to nothing but wages might be a problem. Before you ask - you can't have Fox back!!

  7. You can borrow Tom Adeyemi, thought he did well for Bradford last season. Saw him in the city a few weeks back and he's put on some muscle, think he has a bright career ahead of him. He broke into the side before Korey Smith did and I'm sure the last season gave him much needed experience.
