I was born in North Shields but spent most of my childhood in Rowlands Gill and Crawcrook (lived in each for about 8 years). Used to walk through Greenside all the time (went to school at Hookergate) and got relatives there still (Lead Road). I know the place like the back of my hand, delivered election cards there for 5-6 years in my teens and played at the Cricket Club against the likes of the Pratt brothers.

It is a small world indeed. My first home was a house in Monkseaton/Whitley Bay though moved when I was like 3. My brothers went to infants school there though, Appletree Gardens.
I lived in Canberra avenue for most of my early years. .. Monkseaton middle then Monkseaton high.. .. Played football for both then the black horse ,shielding ,Monkseaton arms, Cullercoats club and a few others.. ..Met the wife and moved to greenside 15 years ago.. ..got six horses now three kids and some chickens
That's not a bad deal at all - 6 horses, three kids and some chickens for one wife. I am not sure I would be able to get that for mine.
The street we lived in was Hazeldene. I've been back to the area a few times, I love Whitley Bay even though realistically I don't have any actual memory of having lived there.
Born and raised Surrey boy. Anything past the Watford gap is to far North to travel to unless its something to do with Black and White. I say that full well in the knowledge me mam lives up Edinburgh.
We, as you know, used to live on the motorhome but as my wife became more and more ill due to the chronic disease we had to call it a day. So, when we were down at Finchale Abbey we saw on the intertubes a cottage to rent somewhere north of Perth. Two days later we saw it and four weeks later we were in.
We're still unpacking and we're still using the motorhome as a run-around. I must get the car back from Y Bala sometime.
