I didn't miss any games and if you think Sagbo is 'brilliant' then you need to go to your Doctor and/or your optician. He has scored 2 goals from 28 appearances and nobody is beating a path to Hull City's door in an effort to sign him. We couldn't give the bloke away. He will make a good partner for that other 'give-him-a-chance-and-he'll-come-good' failure Proschwitz.

No one's beating a path to our door to sign Huddlestone either, stupid way to judge a player.

I don't need to go to see anyone, I can judge players on their merits. He was BoG against Liverpool without scoring a goal because of the way he played the game.

I think you are neglecting the fact that whereas Jelly and Long didn't come in until January we had won SIX games and scored TWENTY TWO GOALS without them. AFTER they joined we won FOUR games and scored SIXTEEN goals with them. I quoted 18 goals as being the total left IF Jelly and Long score 20 to attain last seasons total but we need more than a goal-a-game ratio to establish ourselves into the third section of the Premier League. Tell me what happens if Jelly and/or Long are injured? Sagbo? Proschwitz (pardon me while I vomit)? We NEED another Striker who is competent at this level.

Let's disregard the fact that our fixtures in the first half of the season were significantly easier - all the teams around us at home and the harder ones away - versus all the teams around us away from home and the harder ones at home.

You're clearly wound up about something but lay off the personal insults when we're trying to have a reasoned discussion.

And how much would you value Huddlestone and then tell me how much you would value Sagbo. As you well know "BoG" is Australian for 'Toilet' which pretty well sums him up for me. Sagbo isn't a strikers @rsehole imo.

Sorry, mate, no offence meant but I went through something similar with Altidore when everyone was telling me what a brilliant 'hold-up' player he was and the like. He was there to score goals but couldn't. Neither will Sagbo. Have a nice day mate it's chucking it down here in Victoria which doesn't improve my mood.

No in Aus BoG means Best on Ground. Pretty common in most sports.

I value Hudd at around 6-7m, and Sagbo at probably 2-3m. But they play completely different roles. My point was just because we aren't rebuffing bids left right and centre doesn't mean a player doesn't have their value.

I think you'll find "MoM" (Man of the Match) is more popularly used here in Oz. We'll have to agree to disagree on Sagbo as I couldn't see bids coming in for him 'left right and centre' not could I see in my wildest dreams that he would be worth between 2 and 3 million quid.

Ince is a winger, not a central midfielder.

He always has been a winger.

He always will be a winger.

He has never and will never be a central midfielder.

Sagbo has never been prolific in his career. He's never been a goalscorer, and I very much doubt he was brought in to be a goalscorer. His hold up and link up play is absolutely fantastic and was a massive asset to us in the first half of the season.

Indeed we were all very worried that someone was going to come a pinch him for a snippet at his £5m release clause.

    Short memories for some.

I believe we have actually had an offer for Sagbo, which I assume we rejected.

Throw some names in the hat.

What striker are we going to sign who's going to score a reasonable amount of goals for you?

How many goals is reasonable for you? 20 a season? 30 a season?

How much do you think they'd cost?

Come on, let's be hearing it.

I have a feeling he was saying similar prior to last season. That none of our players looked like scoring a goal and we needed a 30-goal a season striker.

I think long might get close to the twenty mark with a full preseason and service from the likes of hudd livermore ince snoddy elmo. I cant believe the players I've just reeled off lol cant wait for the season to start!

He was, and he couldn't come up with any realistic targets then either I believe.

Fact of the matter is he genuinely thinks we should have a Suarez/Van Persie/Messi in the side and he really does not see the impossibility.

I very much doubt it, I'd be very pleased if he managed 10.

I think the best we can realistically hope for is around 10 goals each for Long & Jela this season. Davies, Huddlestone, Livermore, Snodgrass & Ince will surely chip in with several too, and then there's Brady, who knows how many he would have gone on to score last season if stayed fit.
