As far as I'm aware, if our board is invaded by WUMing budgies then Jonah is perfectly within his rights to go off topic. As far as I can see this post was about how to move forward.

I'd rather have the likes of treacle over here berating us at the moment - we'll do it back when the shoe's on the other foot - but if you can't take it don't dish it out, simples <ok>

Too true Hampy, Dave if you want to run your board like North Korea then that is your business but where the **** do you get off telling us how to run our board!

Jonah, feel free to keep telling it how it is, I must admit that its good to see holier than thou image falling from the budgie perch! It may all be a bed of roses now, but when Lambchop has fled the flock and you have nothing left and even your image is in tatters, will it all be worth it.

Seems strange to me, but if a nut job like Joey Barton was going to head butt somebody, don't you think that he would make a good job of it? and the bloke certaining would be out the same night with face intact acting the ****ing hardman. even the fat bastard didn't agree with it, yet the idiot fans still stick their heads in the sand and say it was a red card!

great first line to a song - made to have a little sing to myself

Where do we go from here?
The words are coming out all weird
Where are you now, when I need you
    Alone on an aeroplane
Fall asleep on against the window pane
    My blood will thicken

I need to wash myself again to hide all the dirt and pain
'Cause I'd be scared that there's nothing underneath
But who are my real friends?
Have they all got the bends?
Am I really sinking this low?

It is funny seeing Jonah and Hampy being wound up so easily. Their predictable and monosymballic responses make me laugh.

    Keep it going girls.

Yeah, yeah – demonstrating your logical failings using an example by way of hyperbole is bound to confound some docile cretin who has to move to Thailand to find a girlfriend.

Glad you like so much on our board, though.

You normally find Chavs get personal whenever they feel threatened and insecure.

At least the Barton red card has given you ladies something football related to chew over. You seem to be fascinated about our playing squad but quite frankly, I could give a toss about your washed up old carthorses.

I moved away from the UK to get away from over self opinionated, self important, I am never wrong, horrible people such as yourself

There are a few good things on your board -JWM, Wellyblue and quite a few others, reading the weekly we are going down/up (delete where applicable) threads etc

In fact, with your social skills you should be a moderator on this board, would fit in nicely with the other two
Bye, good luck for the season

At least I can walk away from them here Guru, which I will now be doing.
Living among them was why I moved away, far too many seriously unpleasant people in the UK.

The sad thing is there seems to be far worse people using the internet and sometimes they are unavoidable but I try.

My initial response on this thread was to JWM, there was little or no need for Jonah to chip in with what was effectively a copy and paste job of his contribution to a thread last week on the Budgies board.
He wanted a reaction by feeding the 'trolls', he got it and once again a thread on your board degenerates - sound familiar?

obviously i have my own run ins with jonah, guru et al, but to be fair to them this was blatantly a serious ipswich thread about their issues which has been hijacked by city fans to have a good giggle rather than say something constructive and in the end qpr have been discussed more than ipswich have. we moan when they invade our board talking bollocks and taking cheap shots so we shouldn't do it to them, unless perhaps its in moderation. the odd joke here and there shouldn't harm the thread but they aren't a happy bunch at the moment <ok>

The way I see it is this, Has there been any progress under PJs leadership or has there been further decline? Has PJ been given enough time to improve the squad and therefore make progress? Do we think PJ can make progress or is he just not up to the task? Whichever way M E decides these issues is the way we will go, personally Ive never seen such a dreadfull display as Saturdays, gutless, inept, rudderless, shameful rubbish.
I was at Barnsley and although we were ecstatic at full time christ we were bad in the first half. So the question is "where do we go from here" surely we just mean do we stick with PJ or change manager.

fieldmarshall, i'm surprised, given how poor your results have been this season, that jewell is still in charge. personally, i'd be happy if he stays with you as i think there is only one way he will take you, and that is down. but there is a manager out there who is available, knows the division inside out, is well respected and although no guarantees are there, dave jones would surely be a good fit for ipswich. seems a no-brainer to me but of course it would mean starting all over again... but then, aren't you going to have to do that in the summer anyway?

As you say Superman we are going to have to go back to basics and start again for next season anyway, so it might as well be sooner rather than later as far as Im concerned. I really have no interest whatsoever in your reasons for wanting PJ to stay with us but you are correct in saying that there are alternatives out there. I have no axe to grind with PJ and want him to be successful but the standard of football we are playing with the squad that we have has to be seen to be believed and its getting worse. Im a Town fan of many years but Ive felt so despondent about the future of this club.

warky said that 73% want jewell out according to a recent poll... that is going to take some coming back from! ok, it might not be that reliable to go on a poll of maybe 500 people but once you get a majority of fans unhappy, thats when a situation often becomes irretrievable.

In todays EADT theres a poll of 1000 people of which 79% said they want a change of manager so thats seems fairly decisive, but if Evans is happy with the man whos running his club nothing will change.

First off, I come in peace.

Secondly, I've just had a gander at your next few fixtures, and I have to say on current form, I can only see you boys winning one game until March and March doesn't look that much easier to be honest. So, my question is - are any of you seriously considering relegation?

    Carra_Rud, its a fair question
The league really is very even and not overly impressive if you take away the top 4 or 5 teams. We are only 13 points of a play off spot yet sit 5th bottom. Im not suggesting we are in any way looking like a play off team but it shows you that if you can put even a short run of result together you can potentially climb high up the league.
Although it is even, it is poor qaulity and everything I feel tells me that there are a few worse teams then us around but in all honesty I think I may say this in hope rather than realism. We seem to lurch from diabolical performance to average and even play the odd 30 minutes of decent football in a game but in truth 1 decent half every 3 or 4 games is nowhere near good enough and could well lead to us going down.
The most annoying thing is no matter how we play there is always an instance of 1 player making a colossal individual mistake that will cost us a goal and its not the same player making the mistakes every match so you cant say get him out and the problems will be sorted (although there are 2 or 3 players that I feel should never be seen in a town shirt again)
Against Forest for example, we were below average and Forest were not brilliant (although I feel they are better than their recent run suggests) but we gifted them the first two without them even trying and we are a team that never looks like scoring 3 goals in a match. Game over due to our own stupidity

Looking at the table I find myself not looking at the points or fixtures, more just, which 3 teams could possibly be worse than us?

A long way to go but Coventry look like they are on their way down (leaving ITFC as the longest serving Championship club I believe - what an honour! - that's if we don't join them in League One.

Donny have their moments but if Sharp goes you'd expect them to struggle even with all their random loan signings.

Then I am stuggling, Bristol City, again, if Maynard goes then they will probably struggle.

I think Millwall are in danger as well, but themselves and Forrest both have enough to stay up.

Then we are looking above to teams such as Pompey and Watford that may be dragged in. But if I were viewing it from an outsiders view, I'd probably say looking at our squad we should be able to move away from the drop zone, but viewing our performances first hand, I am genuinely concerned if we don't pick up enough points over the next month we will find ourselves in the bottom 3 and struggle to get out. We're so inconsistent I can't see us ever getting a run together to get us to relative safety, I think it could be a close call.
