Blimey BfB, that's going back a few seasons now. Benni was there too from memory . Robbie was a good sort. I remember asking him if we could have Gunnar after a game up there. Think we won 2-0 or 2-1 but Gunnar was by far and away the best player on the pitch in my opinion (think he was only 18 or so at the time). Robbie told me hands off! Funny how that turned out eh?
Yes, I was there for that one too. In fact we played there on a Tuesday night for 3 consecutive seasons and won them all. I renamed the stadium The Three Point Arena. My daughter was in uni in Cov at the time so I was able to cover 2 bases at the same time. Leave my wife with my daughter in town and go off to the game. For the 4th Tuesday night game, it was my daughter's graduation day so I was given a "banning" order for the match. Drew 1.1 so City clearly missed me. Robbie and his son same to Cardiff for aBoxing Day game. I took them to the Cornwall for a few beers to show them how the other half lived compared to the plush bars in the Ricoh. I think we beat them 2.0.
I'd bring back John Hughs just for the laughs. A truly obnoxious sort with no concept of reality and life outside Cardiff, but I miss him!!! Maybe it's coz it gives one a feeling of superiority, however undeserved.
Hey Furter - nothing wrong with differences of opinion on here pal, the forum needs it to spark some interest and comeback posts. What we don't want is a bunch of back-patters dumbing down this board - but JH was different and is unique in one thing at least. Wheras all the others mentioned above just seem to have just slipped away from the forum over time, JH is unique as far as can remember in being the only one ever banned from this club forum for his malicious attacks on other board posters. Good riddance to the prat - he brought it on himself. I've got a feeling that he might also have been responsible for us losing some of those who were on here at the same time as him and didn't want that sort of **** levelled at them. Not everyone wants to take it and will tend to shy away from conflict - unlike me - anyone been on the Leed's board recently?...........
Dai I am not sure which board he posted on more, ours or yours. What we are agreed on though is that he was a real 'Richard Head'
I must admit it takes a certain type of person to upset both boards in equal measures, he lost my respect when he brought my family into his argument.
Well, since I stopped posting we've been promoted to the Premier League - twice. Didn't want to jinx things.
Yes clingo, it was an exclamation of surprise, not an invitation in the biblical sense. So glad to see that second sentence and also so glad to see you post again - please keep it going.
Another invitation of a questionable type. What's happened to you guys? Hi remote. Yes, most of the original parts are still in place though the lluds still play up from time to time. Hope you're keeping well.
Does this mean that Posh Minx will be back now? I recall she had a bit of a thing for Clingo. Might say she was a bit stuck on him...or him on her?
