A scrappy 'cup game' feel. Thankfully Villa were shocking in front of goal. Typical Lambert team - if you can't get the ball make sure you make contact with the player. Another classic Bony hold off (I love that man). Weak reffing and was surprised we got the penalty (until I saw it when I got home). We have, at last, done what so many teams have done to us in the past …. scored when we had the chances.
Class support - us for Ferrie and general support.
Crass support - Tha Villa, not getting behind their team and stating the Engurland rollicks - very non-league - and booing their team when they went in at half time.

Still not sure about Monk - while we have beaten Cardiff, Norwich, Newcastle and Villa they have all been shocking.

I was gutted I missed the game as you can't always (rarely?!) get an accurate representation from the highlights. I see we had less possession than them, which is worrying for a Swans side, although we've often had pointless possession in the past. It'll be interesting to see if that trend continues under Monk (for how many games that might be!). The rain looked very heavy, so that must have contributed.

Great result and very happy. I'll be having my Indian this evening! <cheers>
