    Not that it makes much difference to the one-upmanship attitude of certain posters on here, but here are the words of the very man himself on Twitter, Mr DG10 (I've simplified all the Twitter @ rubbish and reversed the order to form a cohesive conversation. No words have been changed though.) :

    @chillster6: DG are you anywhere near a come back or are the rumours true pal?
    @DannyGraham10: rumours??
    @chillster6: leaving or out due to a social issue mate?
    @DannyGraham10: both rubbish mate don't listen to any of it

    So DG denies it, and whilst it would hardly be the first time that a footballer has said one thing and then done the polar opposite, we surely have far more reason to buy into the words of the man himself than other third parties. I admire his tenacity and his workrate, he is a popular member of the squad, and we know for a fact that he can score goals at this level. The recent rise of an anti-DG attitude on here reminds me of the Scotland hating that bubbled around the old 606, and that we all recognised as being ridiculous once he'd left. For me, it is important to support our players at all times, but even more so when they suffer an inevitable drop in form. He is a SCFC player and until we know otherwise for sure, let's get behind him and wish him a speedy recovery from his illness.

    I dont think there are any,bar one poster who anything bad to say about DG. The guy has done great since being here and scored more goals then his transfer rivals who cost more money!

    He is what he is a £3,5m pound striker ! people forget sometimes that is peanuts in this division yet the guy on form can score goals.

    £3.5 million peanuts.<doh> It a hell of a lot of money for a striker that cant hit the target with the amount of chances he had..Its no wonder sir mike has relegated him to 4th choice. I doubt we will get our money back but if someone offers a million quid for him we should snap their hand off.....gone in january me thinks...<ok>

    Yes £3,5m pounds is peanuts in this division Dai. Please name me a 14 goal a season striker for the same amount of money, The boy has done well since coming here, sure he should maybe have taken certain chances but he is worth the money and does a decent job for us.

    PS

    He hasnt been relelgated to 4th choice he is suffering from a mystery illness, there are rumours going around that he got some problems but as i said yesterday, strange how he goes from playing at Newcastle to not makeing the team 4 days later! time will tell on this one though.

    Holy **** Dai........IT is Peanuts. This is the PREMIER LEAGUE. 3.5 is nothing, and for the goals he got, he's paid that fee back because without them, we'd have been relegated.

    Seems Danny has a mystery illness that he's receiving hospital treatment for and Laudrup is quite concerned. Hope it's nothing serious and that we can soon welcome Danny back to us.

    Danny will never be the main striker for us again, I said this would happen last season and im proved right. dont give me this virus crap ....he has not had a virus for most of the season<doh>...the fact is he has fallen down the pecking order and rightly so and will play now and again when necessary, He may or may not have a virus now but that has nothing to do why sir mike dont play him......He is not the standard of striker good enough for us to progress im afraid and i think he is beginning to realize that....He could well be off to pastures new where he will be better suited and i will wish him luck....no room for sentiment here...

    There is no "may or may not" about this virus. Michael Laudrup has confirmed it. Clear enough for you?

    As for not playing him, well I seem to remember Danny getting a good assist for us at Newcastle that led to what proved to be the winning goal and three points.

    Danny may or may not be in Laudrup's future plans but you never lose an opportunity to slate a player who has always done his best for us. I think we got your message a long time ago, so please stop banging on about it.

    I'm hearing all sorts of rumours, but as usual I'll not give them credit just yet, but one thing is for sure, Danny boy will need to hit some form if he's to return to first choice, which I some how doubt, he's not been good this season, shame really as last season he did well with 12 league goals, though he did struggle some what second half of last season. Laudrup has no sentiment, and January is not far off, and I know we are going in for a Striker??....................<cheers>

    ermmm virus or no virus at no4 in the pecking order wont give you much game time......virus got nothing to do with him not playing, he would not be in the team anyway....time to go for his sake...<doh>
