Thought we had the young kid and McGeady tied up from Everton?
Why does it take an age for our club to complete transfers?
Sick of waiting for news, its not as if we've got a squad full already, time is ticking.
    Anybody else getting twitchy?.

2 loans in already. We're at the beginning of the preseason with a new manager.

We're fine. Just need to calm down and let Tue manager get to know his squad.

The announcement was made as I posted the thread, how does, that make it ridiculous, aren't fans allowed to be concerned any more, we appear so slow at getting deals sorted it boils my piss, just saying.

We are absolutely the slowest club on the planet getting deals done mind.

Sales are done in seconds buys take 4 weeks. It's baffling.

Give the new manager five minutes to assess his squad. Why would you want him to sign people before he's ready?

We've signed two loans players we supposedly have other irons in the fire. What's the stress? Concern without any grounds for concern is just negativity.

Maja and Asoro could prove that they can make it in the first season which changes our needs and means we can invest out limited budget better. Why rush and buy what you might not need.

We've got some done. We'll get some more done. Bitching, moaning and spreading negativity wont speed things up. It just creates a had atmosphere.

I read (on twitter) that mcgeady is being held up by something between him and Everton, our side of the deal is done apparently

    I understand your frustration mate.

    But circumstances have changed.

The new guv'nor looks like he has a plan.

Give the guy some room before you start throwing bricks.

Let's be honest we won't sign many anyway, and I'm not convinced we need to.

I know we are short but I tell you what, I've no objection to 2-3 years in this league bring through some of these incredibly talented young lads and move forward as a Southampton.

Ideally keep a few of course but you know what, player sales are and have long been a massive Achilles heel. Maja & Asoro look capable of goals at this level.

There's Beadling and Ledger at the back, a whole glut in midfield as well as Gooch and Watmore who have already had runs.

**** buying bang average **** blend them in with the Rodwell, Gibson and Cattermoles etc let's try that for me.

I like your plan. Makes sense to me. No point in padding out the squad with average players that we'll be calling dead wood this time next year.

SG looks like he's taking a sensible approach with one eye on the transfer budget and the other on the wage bill.

Actual foundations are needed mate, we've been a mongrel of a club for far too long, and an identity made up of having our own produced talents in the side appeals massively.

We will never be Man United, but the pride we've all had over The 2 Jordans, a bit more of that would be nice for now.
