Good luck to Neal Ardley and Neil Cox as they try to guide Notts. County back into the Football League this afternoon.
From seven years ago - I wonder what he's doing now, and whether he'd say the same about the current crop of fans who spend their days criticising the club's owners, staff and players?
Alex Jakubiak has signed a two year deal with Dundee. Another one who didn't quite live up to early promise/expectations.
I just checked, apparently he's playing in the second tier in his native Czech Republic (the same division as Dukla Prague for any Half Man Half Biscuit fans on here).
Just noticed that Alessandro Diamanti is still playing - not that he ever really did for us - at the age of 37. He scored twice this morning for Western United against West Sydney Wanderers in an A League match.
Scunthorpe United is delighted to announce the appointment of Neil Cox as our new First Team Manager.
Craig Shakespeare found a job pretty quickly. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/53699260 I am sure it will be pointed out at a Premier league club. Mind you how long will Dean Smith last next season.
Interesting he has gone in as the third assistant, rumours Terry might take over at Bournemouth might be true then.
To bring the " captain" back would probably undermine Frank. Going back to Shakespeare, in not waiting very long to get back into the game suggests he does not want to continue as Pearson's deputy. Can we read anything Watford into that I wonder?
I think the lure of of his home town club and the team he supported as a club probably helped. I did read Shakespeare was asked to stay on but refused. Pearson probably won't take a job for a while as he will just be bombarded with questions about what happened with us.
There are other former players of ours in the A League. The only one that I can think of off the top of my head is Tom Aldred, who plays for your lot BB. FOR ANY WFC people who look at this site. Sign up Liberato Cacace. He is a 19 year old left wing back with much promise who plays for Wellington Phoenix.
Not only plays, but captains. I didn't think there were too many ex Hornets there now - haven't seen any familiar names on team sheets for quite a while.
