A couple of ex-Hornets facing each other in the National League play-off quarter final right now - Carl Dickinson for Yeovil and Scott Loach for Barnet. Currently 1-0 to Loach...
Despite being dumped Pearson will still want us to stay up ! ( If it's true ) https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/...et-to-get-his-1m-bonus-from-watford-37vqznd3g
Just about to watch Udinese v Juventus. Sema, Zeegelaar and Okaka are in the first 11 for Udinese. Incidentally, I watched another Seria A game the other day. I was drugged to high heavens as I was in hospital so I can't remember the teams. However, Behrami put in his usual tenacious performace in midfield. I think it was Genoa. Hope I didn't dream that one!
He left there at the start of the season - went to Sion in Switzerland. Only there for a couple of months and is now with Genoa.
Strange - did he not like it back home!? Do with him how - tbh I think we had better defensive players when we came up than we do now which says a lot.
He had five seasons with us and played 200 games. Player of the season in 1977-8 so yes he was a very important player for us in some not very good sides.
Along with Andy Rankin, Scullion, Currie and Studs, he' was one of my early Watford heroes... and major influence on my hairstyle!
Scott Loach is on the box right now - BT Sport coverage of Notts County v Barnet play-off semi. Ex Hornet Neil Ardley managing County - didn't know that. I have to say that Meadow Lane looks a lot better than it did the last time I was there, about forty years ago.
