Jurado didn't enjoy the football here.. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...elder_unimpressed_with_long_balls_at_Watford/ Well he didn't exactly do a lot to help improve it!
I presume he just think Flores was forced to play a long ball style. Actually not sure many teams did play long ball stuff last season - West Brom/Sunderland?
"In England [it] is fun if you're in a Manchester City, Arsenal but if you're in a smaller team, the Premier League is not as fun. Set plays are very direct, there are many [long] balls. And for my game ... the ball goes [long] so you end games with neck pain. Here in Spain, [it is] more technical, more possession of the ball." Cheeky sod. a) Were we more of a long ball team than others? ( Silly me, of course, at Man City and Arsenal they're called 'long passes' - remember the jealous ones using this false, but easy to explain away our success, bullshit from the 1980s anyone?) b) Set plays too direct for you? Maybe you'd have taken them every time if you were better or stood a chance of scoring from them every time if you were taller than Danny DeVito. c) More technical, more possession in Spain, yeah, 'cause we've developed this bugger for your game son - we call it tackling. Also if you were more technically gifted than a carthorse you would've been able to retain the ball and if your passing were good enough we would've held possession. Welcome back any time, kiddo.

I thought Jurado was the player most guilty of direct football. All his set-pieces went directly to the opposition.
In today's market, if he can get you nearer Premier League (£10m every time you're on telly), maybe he's 'worth' it.
Bit late to reply I know, but it was set up by no-one. A massive flukey pinball fell for FF which he finished well.
