Looks as if Sean should be updating his CV. Everton prospective owner Dan Friedkin has identified Gareth Southgate, 54, as a potential candidate to replace his fellow Englishman Sean Dyche, 53, as manager at Goodison Park.
Not sure Everton fans will be that excited over the thought of maybe Southgate or Potter coming in should Dyche go ?
Got Inter Milan in the next round . The Italian cup is basically rigged to make sure the top teams get through really with only the 2 two leagues involved and seeded so the top 8 or so get home ties.
I think 44 teams take part, which suggests more than the top two leagues- presumably 4 from Serie C. Although how they choose which 4 is beyond me, given that there are 3 regional divisions.
Ah my bad seems to be the top 4 from Serie C as you say. “The Coppa Italia also, in its new format, which was introduced in 2021, includes just 44 teams: 20 each from Serie A and Serie B, then only the top four from Serie C”
