Certainly couldn't fault his commitment but was sometimes too eager to go forward - got himself caught out of position too often. He was also prone to too many rash tackles. Italian football might sort him out, so good luck to him.
I really liked his commitment and was prepared to overlook some of his shortcomings because of it. How many left backs have we got now?
FGR already got a new manager in . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66228363 David Horseman - coached us once apparently.
Pereyra possibly heading to Milan - both clubs want to sign him; Deulofeu staying at Udinese; But the big news is that Matthew Briggs has signed for Horsham... https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...eeper-one-former-watford-player-lose-another/
Al Ahly have offered Fulham head coach Marco Silva a £40 million two-year deal to become their manager. Some of the money being offered to players and now managers will have an effect in England. What we are seeing is a stripping out of not even the best so far.
Seems like they want everyone and anyone tbh. Certainly agree but you just know he will go elsewhere and be good.
Has anyone seen any writing or analysis about why the Saudis have suddenly started splashing around all this money this season? It seemed like previously it was just the occasional player who had dropped out of being in leading teams going there for semi-retirement (e.g., Ighalo), until they bought Ronaldo mid-season and then this summery it's gone crazy. What's the trigger for all this? What's their master plan?
Pretty much. To boost their profile, standing and chances of getting the World Cup. Wonder why Messi didn't go to Saudi though?
Maybe didn't want to take his wife there, given the reputation they have re attitude towards women. I don't know if the reputation is warranted or not, but I wouldn't risk taking my wife there.
And of course USA is closer to home where he maybe wants his kids to grow up? Suppose we'll probably have one of them in our Academy in 15 years time! I bet they will either hate football though as such or be defenders/ a goalkeeper.
