Yes and Bilic was at West Ham of course.

I think people were using the stat as a subtle dig at us tbh but as I say most of those ex managers either left of their own accord or people weren’t sad to see them go.

Funny thing is with someone like Potter (unrelated to us I know) there have been calls for him to be sacked from day 1 pretty much !

For all those complaining managers don’t get time there are as many who make quick judgements and demands .

Admittedly Chelsea have been poor but they have a squad of brand new players who hardly know each other .

Poor, but still in the Champions League - well, until Real Madrid dispose of them in the quarter final.

There'd be more than a few exploding heads amongst Watford fans if Gino did that - even knowing that the current league position would mean no European football the following season.

TBH not really sure why they sacked Tuchel - Champions league winner and got them to two more cup finals .

A personality clash maybe which I think has happened with the owners and some managers here?

"Tubby" Tufan with a late equaliser for Hull in an 8 goal thriller at Sunderland.

Seems to have done fairly well for them.

After the 'season ending' injury he sustained during his third match after being loaned to Salernitana in February, WTE returned to action in yesterday's 1-1 draw against Inter Milan

    Good draw for them.

Are we much better in defence without him ?

Not sure - still error prone and letting in goals .

It makes me wonder about the state of Italian football too. He has apparently impressed during his short stint there - just as he did with Udinese. Yet he was a bit of a weak link here in the Championship.

Maybe he is just told to defend and work with better defenders around him rather than being told to make nice little 5 yard passes all the time.

I started watching Salernitana regularly last season during their amazing escape from relegation, and still do this season. I'd say that their defence is quite comical & certainly doesn't have better players than ours. So the problem we have more than likely stems from the coach's tactics - and those dinky little 5 yard passes.

I noticed yesterday that we have a tendency to do that in attack at times too - even Pedro did it, at one point making a pointless 5 yard pass to Asprilla just outside the penalty area when Asprilla was surrounded by 5 Huddersfield defenders. As a youth coach in Australia that used to drive me nuts when my players did that...

    Fair enough!

I guess everyone is trying to copy the Barca/Man City model as it's the "right way to play" according to the pundits etc.

We lack pace in the team which is why we try to almost walk the ball in the end rather than try to pass and move quickly.

Daft thing is when we had some shots they were quite decent or at least tested the keeper and of course Asprilla scored.

    But it's a rarity.

Saw a fair bit of the Leeds performance from a Javi team though.

I wonder how long he'll survive in the hot seat?

They are talking about Hodgson being some sort of magician.

I thought he did ok generally with us till the end of the FA cup final season then it went wrong.

And Gracia started well at Leeds too till today

Both are only there till the end of the season.

I suspect with Roy there is a mutual respect from Palace fans/players and vice versa which was lacking here - maybe both sides being at fault for that .

He was ok until the Wolves semi-final - totally lost the plot after that. Or the players did - what actually went wrong is one of life's great mysteries.

A former Premier League footballer has admitted being almost three times over the alcohol limit when he crashed his Land Rover through a shop doorway.

Ex-Watford, Blackburn and Sunderland striker Danny Graham smashed into a Co-op store on the exclusive Wynyard estate in County Durham in November.

The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to a single charge of drinking and driving and will be sentenced later at Teesside Magistrates' Court.

The shop was extensively damaged and stock worth more £5,000 was ruined.

The store had to close for five days and the total loss was estimated to be £32,000, magistrates were told.

Exclusive and 'Coop store' don't often appear in the same sentence. What qualifies as 'downmarket' in County Durham I wonder? And this is with no disrespect to The Coop. I love and admire them - most of the time !
