    I always thought he was more skill full and created more goals as a winger than John Barnes

    You could well be right. Sadly, I was on the other side of the world for the majority of his career, so didn't see them all - but his backheeled goal against West Ham in the cup and his headed goal at Southampton in our first away fixture in the top flight were memorable. I remember switching the tv on one night after getting home from the pub - just in time to be surprised by highlights of the game at Notts County - his two goals in that were excellent.

    Another excellent keeper for us generally.

    Guess he just didn’t want to be a 3rd or 2nd choice keeper somewhere .

    He seems very into the YouTube vblog stuff .

    I thought it was inevitable - he had knocked back some offers, so didn't seem that keen on continuing on.

    Good on him though - he's had a long, successful career and served us well over two spells. All the best to him in whatever he turns his safe hands to...
