I thought Leicester might av been in for Ant Gerrard by now, think hes a freebie so no real risk and he had a good season for us under Pearson, he was very keen to sign him permanantly last pre-season. Think you could wave a warchest at Pearson but he'd still go for players he knows he can rely on, just my opinion.

His name has been mentioned. James Chester seems the top target but its very unlikely we will get him, Jason Shackell, Luke Chambers have also been mentioned but before we can look to get sign anyone we need the Bamba deal to be completed and Mills to get a move to somewhere. Once we have moved a few on there will be a few more moving in

I think you'll know if you have a chance to sign Chester sooner rather than later, im pretty sure we'll offer him an improved contract as yourselfs and maybe acouple of other clubs will be in for him. My feeling is he'll sign and stay, i know alot of you dont rate Bruce but i think he'll be a big factor in Chester staying for now plus Chesters never given us any reason to suggest he would consider other options, just my opinion, i might be way off the mark and Chesters desperate to leave ha ha

With the clubs not wanting to do business it would cost around around 4M+ to get Chester and Nigel has already said he wont over pay for players like Sven did. He has been very critical of how we went about our business under Sven. There is some decent defenders going for nothing so i think we would be better off going elsewhere then paying over the odds for Chester

I dont know if he will sign a new deal at Hull but i think he will stay for 1 more year and then probably move on to the prem

Havent looked at the list but think they'll be some really good freebies and bargins to be had this summer. In regards to Chesters price tag, im sure nobody will bid 4+mil for him weather hes worth it or not. Hobbs has gone from strength to strength for us this season, i talked to afew leicester fans at your place when we played you and they were generally happy for him doing well for us.

Yeah no one has a bad word to say about Jack Hobbs. He did very well for us and when Nigel was here Hobbs got player of the year for us. He is a class act on and off the pitch and a very good defender. I want to see him do well and i want him to make a full recovery from his injury

I like how much Jacks developed since he's gone to Hull -albeit through gritted teeth as he could have still been with us.

I felt his two main weakness' were that he didn't lead a defence very well without an experienced head and that in possession he wasn't very convincing.

But when he came back, he was playing the ball out of defence fairly compettently and he was your captain I believe?

The only problem i ever had with Jack Hobbs is he is too nice sometimes. He gets too easy bullied by a big striker, Hobbs needs to kick some lumps out them at time

Plus Hobbs for how good he is in the air he is pretty pathetic in the oppositions box

Yeah hes our Captain now, he leads the line very well for me, we'd conceded the fewest goals in the league up until the last few games of the season, we had an awful march and Hobbs did his knee in so it all went abit tits up, his distribution isnt always great but other than that very solid and has a great understanding with Chester. Whats been the problem with Mills? His attitude?

Mills cant pass for toffee, has bad attitude

Apart from that he is a very good defender.

Yeah he could do to chip in with afew more goals, Chester hasnt done to well in that department either but he looks alot more dangerous than Hobbs infront of goal, hopefully something Bruce can work on with them. Thats not critacism of the lads though, id hate to lose them.

I think you could split it up into thirds.

    33% because of his attitude.
    33% because of his performances
33% because of his higher wage. Nige has made a big thing about bringing the wage bill down.

I dont think its his performances. He was doing well with St. Ledger next to him, we all at the time found the signing of Wes Morgan strange.

I think wages, attitude and disciplinary are the only things that are wrong with Mills.
