Same values and ethos and work ethic, exactly what Manchester United will be reverting back to under Van Gaal after the Moyes saga. Jose has done exactly the same with Chelsea again and they had decent challenges on all fronts. He's been given the job, so let's all support him in his attempts as manager.
van Baal will create his own way with manu, as he's done that in all the clubs he's been in charge of. Mourinho has stated that he's in a process of reshaping Chelsea, he just hasn't had the players that he needed. Believe him or not, it's a different story. It doesn't make sense in any context, going back to where you came from; unless you're lost obviously ....
Yankee, you're a good poster and I respect your opinion, but are you actually suggesting that "The state of the club now..." is in someway negative? Has two seasons of relative over-achievement fogged your reality to such an extent that you see a season of Premier League survival as a failure? We had 8 seasons of league climbing that could only ever lead to a plateauing, or drop in league standing; that is, unless you actually thought that we were going to eventually win the Champions League. Survival is our success. It has been for three seasons, and it shall remain to be for as long as we are in this league.
There is nothing to defend when it comes to Monk , Huw and the board are undefendable though when it comes to the mess they created this season , mentally challenged is the only way to describe what they did .
Fine, I think I'm going to start a world cup thread!
You have no idea how correct you are. With Laudrup we were lost, so we have to go back, to get back into the correct path...
Agree, and lets hope Monk has a good compass to hand, otherwise we might need Martinez and Sousa to help out!............
God knows whether Monk can do a good job for us next season yet ? but he`s firmly in the hot seat now so i will give him till xmas before relaxing as its only fair . It would be nice not to have to many dramas at our club for a while after the last good few seasons, but there`s more chance of getting shyte from a rocking horse than things going smoothly here. Which is all part of the fun and gives us loads to talk about, the mrs got the soaps n we got the swans seems a fair deal
[NSFW][/NSFW]Sorry guys but I think you have dropped a massive bollock here. Never appoint the caretaker even if he is a club legend, we have done it a few times and its been a disaster.
I think it wouldn't have mattered who was in charge this season. We were in the brown stuff either way. Europa League football is a massive albatross around any Premier League club's neck. Look at all the teams that have made it and really struggled the next season.
Musty, given the form Sunderland are in, they start as favourites against us. How about some positive vibes.
you are right there scfc...we lost our way and was miles off course to the Swansea way that has brought us so much success over the years....well done to jinx for listening and doing something about it
well it has worked for us ...Martinez the best appointment of all that started the ball rolling to get us where we are today....so horses for courses it does work sometimes...
.....or even more interesting, Hull City. Bizarely they will avoid the qualifying rounds and go straight into the group phase, the same as Wigan did this season.
