    Blah blah blah.

There's one man to blame for the state of ITFC. I'll give you a clue: it's not Foggy or Compo.

As it's now officially autumn, that will be the last of my summer whining...

It is worrying that a defensive coach has been ruled out, even if Jewell doesnt want one permanantly it cant hurt for a dedicated defensive coach to take a couple of sessions. I love that we are playing a form of attacking football and would hate to return to the 'defense first' style of Keane, but would much prefer to be able to confidently defend a 1-0 lead if needs be.

Saying that, I don't think the coaching team is where the real problem lies. Too often have we been so close to a signing only for it to break down at the final hurdle, while I accept we do need to budget and stick to a wage structure it seems to be consistently happening, including before the apparant tightening of the purse strings i.e. Charlie Austin. It is pleasing to see us acctaully go back in and get a player, hopefully we are finally learning that giving the boat a controlled 'pushing out' is the way to progress.

    at the very minimum:
    this season - Top Half
    next season - Top 10
    2014/15 - Play - offs

Though I would hope we are aiming to get top 10 this year.

I personally don't think we are that far off. This Moshni fellow from Soufend sounds like a player and would be a coup in my opinion, if we can bring in 1 other decent CB and Boyd from Posh then i think we will have a really good side. I cant wait for Hewitt to take over from Edwards and with the pacey Taylor up top i think we can cause teams problems, sorry JWM but i can honestly see that things may improve, i'm no Jewell lover and if i was gay i would fist Clegg until he bled to death but things will improve!!

So much is made of 'not addressing the defence' but there is no team in the world that defends perfectly every game. Footballers are human beings and so are prone to making mistakes.
