Rather than trying to get the problems behind the kit delay sorted, the club have decided that the best way to avoid the embarrassment of having a full stadium without a single new shirt being worn in the crowd, is to not have a crowd.
Our nice lady postie has been placed on alert. She has offered to sing 'oh when the Saints' while walking up our path on delivery bless her. Is this Southampton FC introducing what my son scornfully refers to as 'false tension' to the process.
Don't mention tickets to me....had to pay £4.70 to travel by bus after my bus pass ran out. Still in a state of shock.
I now have my season ticket. The ingratiating letter from our manager is screwed up and in the recycling bin. The ridiculous box it came in is in the bin as is the already out of date fixture list. The car window sticker is also in the bin, no bloody good if you haven't got a car. That stupid badge got thrown at my neighbours cat who was ****ting in my flower bed so it is still out there embedded in the soil somewhere. I didn't hit the cat and I didn't see where the badge landed. The season ticket is safely tucked in my wallet ready for next week. Let us hope it is a good season.
