in the words of Davy Jones "Hey, Hey, I'm a believer...". Like most of us saints fans, I carried a great burden of under expectation into the new season. After all, L1 though competitive (and I have loved our brief stay there), it is not the championship. However, I believe we will do it. Cardiff may have been clear leaders only to stumble on more than one occasion and there will be a team that comes on strong and one that fades away. But why should that be us... After all, perhaps we have had our bad patch (September 24 through October 25 read W2, D3 L2 - this is very average form 9 points from a possible 21 !) Talk to the fans of the teams we play and those that watch us from the PL - we are generally perceived as one of the best teams out there - including most of the EPL now. I fully expect West Ham to chase us all the way, and a few others to snap at our ankles, but the players already have the mental strength to overcome and we will not fade. Thanks to Huddersfield, we already know how to play with the pressure of having to stay above the rest and this will not go away.... Roll on May and here comes the Premier League...
