i was too GB, Boothroyd went down in my estimation when he did that, i have to be honest. Don't worry, it's really too early to panic. Last year i'll bet you felt the same at this time ...
Hornette that is very true, lol last year I thought we were destined for relagation lol, untill after i went to the norwich game then I thought play offs, haha i think im just that kind of person
haha why has anyone spent any money this transfer market have just seen the free transfer list and they include Bothroyd, Koumas and Carew, tell you what wouldnt mind Koumas at watford he's a great player!
lol I dont know what everyone has against bothroyd at the end of the day he is a world class striker, that if it had not been for injury would have been close to as many goals as DG this year
He seems a nice guy though, he was on talksport, he was also really dedicated to cardiff could have left earlier but stayed It's easy to teach a player not to cheat
Hmm, maybe, always willing to give people the benefit of the doubt (except MK, who doesn't deserve more chances!)
Have I got the wrong end of the stick or was the money borrowed from TicketUs supposed to be repaid by this years season ticket revenue. If that is the case and it is paid back or we only have to cover the shortfall then why will £1.8mil of the money from Graham/Buckley transfers be needed to pay off that loan?
or maybe the ticket sales have gone to pay off other debts? i don't keep up well with the financial stuff tbh lol
Come into this a bit late... but the fact is, even before Bas, we were always going to have to sell a couple of players to keep the club running. DG was always going to be the main target, so it was all about maximising the money we got from him - obviously we don't feel we have, but the board did (we don;t really know the ins and outs - maybe there was a £3.5m release clause). Unfortunately this money was never going to be enough, so there would be more sales. I personally think £1m is pretty good for Buckley and was good to see us reject a couple of previous offers. Buckley hasn't really proven anything yet so it is pretty big money! If selling just these 2 players means we can keep the likes of Eustace, Taylor, Cowie and even some of the youngsters like Sordell, then I am fine with these 2 going If Young does go and we get a bit of cash, then we would have brought in about £5-5.5m Obviously Malky will see very little of this, but even if he gets £1m, I think he can do great stuff with it! For me, a good sumemr would be; Phillips on a free A Taylor - offer a good signing on fee to accept us, say a couple of hundred grand Wiggins from Bournemouth - £250k may do it Conway - free I would then try and get a creative midfielder on loan (ask uncle Fergie or Wenger). Maybe someone like Paul Pogba. think fergie owes after Drinkwater. I would also get a another striker in on loan... Maybe Weimann again, or ask Norwich at Simeon Jackson's availability since they just signed 2 strikers! The good thing about these being sold early on is we have plenty of time to capture our own signings - we just now need the board to say Watford is closed for sales!
Cant see us saying were not selling anymore! I believe if anyone came in with a good offer for any player , we would sell! I`m hoping this isnt the scenario in the last week or 2 of the window!
