Announced middle of June, this time last year I said "One of the big sides at home, like Leeds or someone" So this year gonna go for the same, either Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle, City or Chelsea at home <ok> Not United as we have played them a couple of times since relegation.

They won't be European champions. Like you, I would fancy us against any team at home though, after last season's great start against Leeds.

The first week-end will doubtless include on of the promoted sides; probably which ever one is at home against a long established Premier League side, but one in which the TV producers see the possibility of a home win. I cite Pompey v Aston Villa in our opening fixture in 2003 as a typical example.

If one of you three are at home to, say, Villa, Liverpool, Everton, Sunderland or Fulham it's a pretty good bet that it will be on the box.

Home against Villa sounds good to me...a game against a long-standing Prem team that (as things currently stand) I'd favour us to win.

I reckon we will start the Season in 13th or 14th position.
