You think Nigel shows emotional deficiencies for trying to sign a player he has previously worked with? Yet it was fine when he signed Fryup, Hoofbs and Waggy?
I love the 'Nigel is boring' brigade. I listened to 'Blunderside's' football forum on iPlayer last night so I could find out what actually happened when Nigel was interviewed on it. He said very little and Hull fans cried about it. Then I heard Barmby's interview straight after and he gave answers no more than 1/2 words and he responded to speculation with 'we'll see' The Dull fans don't know what they're missing with Pearson
Doesn't matter, you've misunderstood all of it. It was more a suggestion it's a bungled attempt at rebuilding the bridges he smashed by leaving us, and by proxy, all the young talent he signed and pledged his future to. Nothing to do with the players we got off you, or Barmby's personality as some other poster said. Easy really.
What i find brilliant is how Hull insist on not doing business with us making out we have cheated or something. Its survival of the fittest, we not best mates were rivals. These things happen When Nigel went to Hull you didnt see us make stupid statements in the media, we wasnt too bothered about letting people go to Hull. Who ever offers you a good enough deal gets the player that how football works. If Hull insist on not doing business with us they may end up cutting their nose off to spite their face
I understood what you've said completely. But you've over analysed what he's done. He isn't starting to regret leaving Hull, or not saying goodbye or whatever. We both know Nige isn't that type of person. If anyone should be saying their thankyou's and goodbyes then its Hull, their players and their fans for Nige re buildng their squad and the careers of some of their players.
I know i find it hilarious and childish how they are acting Someone made a **** bid for a player, so what reject it and move on. Tell them to put up or shut up and get on with it
Wrong again. Where did I say he regrets leaving us? He regrets showing that he isn't the loyal father figure to the players he made himself out to be. Now he wants them in his life again, but he's pensive, as he caused irreparable damage to the relationship(s). £1m is a tentative, nervous first step. Testing the water. Stewart turns around, wide eyed, or he ignores it. Nigel sits patiently in the mean time, waiting. Probably stroking a picture of him, I don't know. He needs to man up and get serious, and stop disrespecting our club and our talent.
What because we made an offer below your asking price its disrespectful. We made an offer which you didnt think was good enough so you rejected it. I really dont see what the big issue is. Next time so we dont upset you would you like us to stick and extra 10M in front of it so you dont get offended
Are Bristol crying about the 1m bid they've had for Maynard? A much more proven talent than Stewart? Nope. EDIT; they havn't accepted it
I bet really Nigel had a few too many shandy's on New years day and thought he would start prank calling people and rang up Adam Pearson. He offered 1M for Stewart, 50P for AP's primark suit and OLM a job as media liaison officer
The thing is that all fans think any player will want to join their club. We are hoping we place a bid for Billy Sharp and also hoping he would want to join us. This isn't implying he will nor that we will bid Some of you on here just seem to think you can click your fingers and any player will WANT to join you. It is not how it works and unfortunately this money your club has come into has altered the way in which you think. Your attitude to this Stewart bid has been quite arrogant but I guess this is to be expected with this new found money your club has inherited. Leicester doesn't have the greatest appeal for someone who isn't from there to want to actually move there. I know Hull doesn't either before you start. All you have going for you is this new money and the arrogance some of you have seemingly inherited as a result of it. There are some of you who look at life from both perspectives and make constructed posts but unfortunately these are drowned out.
You're crying because you think we will still part with our money like the red sea. If anyone needs to 'man up' then it's you lot
He thought "I'm really upset at how the Hull people have been nasty about me, and despite the fact that I like to act like I'm not bothered about other people, their words actually do hurt and I'm obsessed with one-up-manship and petty tit-for-tat. I'm going to poke their bums" Then we say "Get off" Behave Nigel.
Just think if we do get a bid accepted for Stewart and only offer him a few K a week, do you think he will get really offended aswell and refuse to do business with us again
Or maybe he just wants to sign a player who happens to be one of the best in his position in the Championship? I don't see what the problem is with our bid though. This is similar to what myself, Pull Your Fox Up and OLM were debating earlier in the thread. This £1 million bid is intended to just try and see where we lie. Cameron could have easily turned round and handed in a transfer request, in which case we get a cut-price Cameron Stewart. Brilliant. If he doesn't, then we might bid again or we could move on; who knows? But the song and dance made about it is ridiculous. As Proud said, you rejected the bid. What is there to moan about?
