Shearer turned down a move to Man Utd on many several. Doesn't mean they weren't the biggest club in the world at the time.
you festas have some obsession with Hull City? You only started crowing recently...for some reason...they are ok guys,ok city....i last lived in Leeds 85,i love the Leeds city/team...but i realise we are **** and not being bankrolled by some Thai thugs,Hull are fine so sod off
Maybe your being a bit harsh Nigel given how the situation unfolded. When he was on the Football Forum a few weeks back, he said that when he was being made odds-on favorite and all the rumours were flying, he just thought it was gossip - I think he said he thought it was "Journalists writing the easy story" and this was around the same time when he gave all those interviews about the speculation being irritating etc. and presumably this is when he would have told the squad he was going nowhere because I'm sure there would have been whispers among the players about all of it and, given he himself didn't think an approach was forthcoming, thought it best to nip it in the bud and stop all the unsettlement that it might cause. I'm surprised when you say he never said good-bye because Nigel's always had a good rapport with his players (was it Liam Rosenior that came out and said the squad would be 'gutted' if he left or something like that?) so we're just going to have to hope that Cameron still feels some sort of affection towards Pearson.
This is the Leicester board you know. Anyway, we're discussing a bid we've made for their player. I think if you're looking for someone with an obsession, maybe you should look a bit closer to home.
I can't believe this 'piss poor offer' rubbish the Dull fans are coming out with. Last Jan you signed him for 300k and he's played 20 games. So in 20 odd games you've made a 700k profit. That's excellent business and I personally wouldn't go further than a £2m offer for him.
You think the valuation of a player should be based on what he cost? So Millwall should have sold Morison to Norwich for £300k as it was a good return on their investment? You post utter bollocks.
I'm saying that he's not pulled up and trees in a year and has only played 3/4 games at a decent standard. How that warrants a price increase from 300k to 5m is beyond me and I think its you that posts utter bollocks.
If it comes to play-offs,my support is with Hull, purely because of your multi-million backing, and your gloating, and crap wumming!
Neil knows best....he's no fool.... http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/an...danns-nigel-pearson-tried-sign-me-hull-summer
Grow a pair of balls and man up. Anyway what sort of bloke rides round on a lambretta, especially at your ****ing age. Tool !!
Last time i checked the season ends when you have played everyone TWICE not once. So basically being in the play offs now means nothing
Pearson's a lonely heart. He left Hull in part because he felt spurned by fans not showing him enough affection (I would like to put on record I think he deserved more). Nevertheless, for an adult, a football manager, a man in a position of authority...it's a bit wet. Now, he left us and never said goodbye to his favourite lads, yet his assistants did. Shows he lacks class, and I reckon he regrets it, being the secretly sensitive soul that he is. This bid for Stewart is his last ditch attempt at a truce, and to let him know he hasn't forgotten about him. He doesn't think it will seriously happen, but in secret pines for young Cameron to respond to his flaccid advances. Imagine his smile if he does, childlike. I don't think it will work, however, as Cameron knows he is wanted here and is allowed to express himself in an expansive team. I liked Nigel a lot when he was here, but I think he now shows some alarming emotional deficiencies. Give him a tissue.
