I look at these teams, I agree with lots but I have to say I would always play McGeady. I know he’s patchy, I know he should do more, but he’s got that magic when he’s there. He had a great scoring run pre Xmas, he’s dipped since for sure, but he’s still likely the most naturally gifted player at the club for me. I like a wild card.

If the lad had the dedication of O’Nein he’s playing in the Premier League. Shame in some ways but I’m glad he’s here.

Aye, the fact he went to Russia at that time really sums up his career, could have went Premier League then. Was in that mad couple years when Russian clubs were paying silly money and the move probably set him for life, but cost him a potentially incredible career. Not many players have a turn named after them.
I just don't think we're in the position to carry a player like that. It's like he feels entitled to be beating every player in front of him, and when he gets tackled a few times he starts to sulk. His work rate off the ball isn't the best either imo. I'd be very happy for him to prove me wrong though.
I’ll never disagree on his flaws mate, I’ve just always liked players like that. Maybe the increased competition gives him a kick in the arse cos on form consistently, he’s a match winner and the best player in the league. Shame it doesn’t happen.
Bottom line is we have so many options now. No excuses for JR. It's got to be the strongest squad in the division by far.
The squad now looks awesome. One look at the bench should eliminate any complacency on the pitch. Not expecting too many changes immediately taking into account the settling in process and fitness levels, but I can't wait for tomorrow, win this and we will be flying. Haway the Lads.
