Last years home shirt was the best in the history of SFC in my humble opinion. The Sash rules! So distinctive and unique in a home shirt. Away shirt, probably that white one with the 2 red flashes near the collar. <ok>

Don't worry about repeating threads. To us oldies it's all new anyway, because we've forgotten the first time...now what was I saying...

When people talk of awful kits in general my mind instantly goes back to the infamous 6-3 win over Man Utd!

the whole shirt thing is a great thread as it gives a chance to look back on some old kits and some great players/games. Personally, it was the Pony shirt with the massive Pony logo in red at the top by the neck. It is a horrible design, but that was when I started watching. I think I watched Saints v Arsenal at the Dell when Arsenal wore that terrible yellow and black adidas shirt. My memories of that day prompted me to buy a vgc Pony shirt off e bay, and it sits in a frame in the loft. Soon after I saw a game with the yellow and blue dimplex being worn, and I did the same with that shirt. Apart from that, the shirt with red sleeves was a classic, but is associated with our slippery slide. The red shouldered black away shirt was nice, but made out of cling film.

Buying classic Saints shirts used to be a bit of a hobby a few years ago, I have nothing of any value to pass on to my nippers, so will pass on my collection of old shirts. Each one tells a story-bad or good. Finally, I like the new home shirt, but I still cant help thinking there is an absolute classic design still to come. Maybe when we are free of the shackles of Umbro's standard designs we will be give a free reign in deciding...??

tomw19 if you are referring to the half time kit change that game finished 3-1 with us leading 3-0 at half time.

My fave was last years home shirt, made us stand out. Rather then be in a group of clubs that all have red and white strips. The worse hmm their are quite a few tbh, i never really took the yellow and blue strips tbh.

Just noticed on the clubs online store, that they are selling retro shirts. Anyone bought one, what is the quality of the shirt like?

I am sure you will agree, if I don't lile the quality of it, its along way for me to send it back!

    Thanks. Steve
