And with this you can't see the real problem with your squad. Shame. We hate plastics on the Swansea board and I see you as one of those who have only ever seen your team on tele.
But the thing is, there will be a lot of plastics that have 'supported' the club during the last 25years of success and won't have an incline of what Fergies first few seasons were like. It's disgraceful that these 'fans' are not supporting him.
I heard today that the Glazers have taken £680million out of the club since they've been there. That's the problem, they have sucked the club dry, and it will be interesting to see if the funds are there to rebuild.
The squad he inherited and the complete change of a routine going on over a decade is what's wrong. Valencia Nani Cleverly Welbeck hernandez Vidic Ferdinand Carrick Evra Anderson Giggs The above, some at the end and others not good enough, some both. That's a lot of outs in the next while, by then you'd expect Moyes would have the squad he built and I reckon only then can he be really judged. Are the owners gonna give him 150m or more in the summer? To be challenging the CL never mind the PL you need to spend money like that or hope another batch like Fergie's comes along again
This ^^, as you're fantastic youth grew older and older you never replaced them with the same class. Hard to do with 5-6 top class players. As eAch retired the holes appeared. After realising winning the CL was out the window for the foreseeable future, Fergie tweeked the squad to stay at the top of the PL until he retired. No way he would have kept half this team if he still had ten years left in him. Prroblem for Moyes is the rebuild should have started 2 years ago so he's that far behind while others have splashed the cash and can keep doing so. Worse, the last gamble that worked by Fergie: RV P, who fit and on fire for last season helped make the PL comfortable last year masks the real problems with this squad. Not taking the PL away, winnings winning but rebuilds this far behind are painful.
Fergie is to blame for a lot of it Not sure how he failed to address the midfield and defensive problems for so long when every man and his dog could see the issues. How was any other manager supposed to compete with the likes of Cleverley, Rafael and the ancient Giggs. Can't deny I'm loving it obviously but seriously some of you really are blaming the wrong man because Fergie is untouchable in your eyes (understandably).
We need 1/2 top class midfielders and that is all. The defence is being put under too much pressure by the midfield losing the ball too easily and too often, the strikers are starved of good creative football. We don`t need much of a rebuild.
You are in transition, your transfer policy over the past few years has been suspect and its showing, you've just lost one of the best managers the game has seen. Will probably be a short term blip.
The funny thing is Diego....that's exactly what me and my lot have been saying for the last two decades Just one or two is all we need..... ........it's started already
