Not sure now mate. Tesco had big plans for the site but the council refused every planning application they submitted and eventually sold it. Like I say, the site they own in Gateshead (Get Carter car park) is already being built on and the plans look tremendous. Housing, shopping, cable cars going down to the quayside. The Baltic area is in full swing with the college, housing, hotels and restaurants. Seems Newcastle/Gateshead just get on with the job and Sunderland just talk about it. I mean how long has Sunderland needed another Bridge?? I'm not 100% on this but do Newcastle close half of the Tyne Bridge for home games? I'm guessing not..
