The two examples you have shown are surely illegal use of the arms to obstruct the opposing players..

At the end of the season, we had realistically 15 players in our squad that could have got into our 1st team for next season.

    Mig
    Gordon (injured)

    Bardsley
    Turner
    Bramble
    Ferdinand

    Richardson
    Cattermole (injured)
    Steed
    Meyler (injured)
    Colback (still young but promising)
    Sess
    Elmo

Campbell (injured for most of next season)
    Gyan

    and the rest youngsters.

We needed these players which we have signed, for starting positions as well as to cover injuries and potentials, if we bought 1 class midfielder, and he got injured we would have been screwed.

Now hopefully we have a aquad that can cope all season, and like i have said on other threads, football is a team game, not an individual one, lets just hope they can gel (we will never know until the start of the season)

You all forget that we had pretty bad injury problems at the end of last season as well

I never said you didnt, but you still had the spine of your team there, i am just stating that we were down to the bare bones, with the loanees leaving, and we still have a couple of long term injuries as well.

and most of our signings have been free, if we didnt go for them when we did, someone else would have snapped them up, none of them are world beaters by themselves, even i admit that, but hopefully, collectively, they can do a job for us, but like i said, only time will tell.

I agree with you on that, your signings are good signings, not great but good and all the ones i know about can do a job in the prem.
It's true you needed to fill your squad about a bit and players like Larsson will give you the cover that you need

We had injuries throughout the season where as Sunderland had them all at the same time. Think I read somewhere Sunderland had the worst injury record throughout the season with Newcastle 2nd on the list.

Most of the Prem teams had problems with injuries at the end season, it's part of a long season.

We know Steve but so were a lot of clubs us included. You have to get on with it.

We didnt have Tiote the last two games and maybe with him we might have beaten WBA but we didnt and accepted it.

Yes I know Tiote had a lot of bookings and some deserved but in the latter stages of season some of them were harsh.

Of course i accepted it, not a lot i could do.

Chelsea had terry and Lampard out, they went 8 games without a win, ruining their title chances.
Everton didnt have a striker, they were in the bottom 4 till Novemeber.
Sunderland had 11 1st team players out all at once, we went on an 11 game loosing streak

I would say its pretty understandable.

And btw neither of us set the world on fire the backend of last year, I beieve you were 7-8 points behind us, when we went on our loosing streak of 11 games, and we finished 1 point ahead of you (not bragging, we just did), thank god we both had decent starts to the season up until xmas is all i have to say lol

<ok> It wouldn't have been looking great for either of us if it was only done on the second half of the season

We demolished you last season Mackems so just shut up for a bit (the summer at least), wait until next season and then you can brag if you beat us.
That's what rivalries are all about, bragging rights. So don't you all go pissing on our parade cause you're a fed up bunch of gits.

Let's look on to maybe a closer match the next time we play each other because everyone loves a good derby. You'll all have you're turn and we will once again have ours. That's football.

But for now stop being so ridiculous and let the players do the talking. Jog on lads.

huh!! the only person i can see bragging is cest, and that was on our board, i learned a long time ago to keep my big gob shut (for bragging), and whatever you spout can come back and bite you in the ass twice as hard.

Erm... What about Adams? Pretty much everyone regarded him as their best player over the course of the season.

    Damn, too slow
