I reckon you will give us a better game home and away. Looking forward to the game at the SOL.

Cestriamackem is the biggest ****er on this website. He continually creates articles with the sole intention of getting into an arguement with Toon fans. He used to do the same on 606, but went strangely quiet after the derby game. Living in the shadow of NUFC has made him a very bitter individual, but the internet provides him with a kind of therapy where he can pretend that his is not really one of life's losers.

Last year on 606 he was one of the more vocal Sunderland fans, boasting about "6 easy points" , that none of our team were good enough for their squad, that they were heading for Europe whilst we would be relegated, and that they had a great manager in Bruce (who he then wanted to sack in March).

All his boastfull bullshit turned out to be exactly that, and gave most of us a really good laugh at his expense. Now it seems that he still has not learned anything, but that is only to be expected from such a ******.

The best thing is not to respond to the sad little window-licker as it feeds his obsession.

Thought I'd help the Mackems out. here is a more factual assessment of their resources:

    SAFC midfield

Larsson - specialist dead ball taker. Very slow, pretty average and said he'd only go where he was guaranteed first choice. Good PL back up but wouldn't get anywhere near a top 6--8 first choice 11. Hence no one from the upper reaches of the division went for him. I must admit I was over the moon we didn't get him.

Gardener - Played all his career in the top flight but hasn't been first choice the majority of that time. (reason he left Villa) Had probably his best season last year but maybe flattered because his goal tally. Again pretty one paced and average but solid enough. Again wouldn't get into a top 8 side.

Vaughan - Very steady player but as is always the case, judge on his 2nd season not his first in the PL. Average again for me.

Seesegnon - Looks a good player to be fair but I think he will be classed as striker this season according to Bruce.

Cattermole - played all his career at EPL level and a terific will to win. Like Tiote though, needs to watch the discipine. - Won't change this pretty much spot on. Can't compare him to Tiote though. not in his class football wise and far far dirtier.

Richardson - Much underrated and underused player at Sunderland. Can't play full back for toffee but I do think he'd make an excellent option down the lift side of midfield at this level.

Colback - Hard to say. Reports are good but pointless commenting. Strange they would include their youngsters but not ours despite us having Vuckic and Ferguson who are ahead of this lad in terms of ability for me.

Steed - Think he's a good player but pretty unfit. (them tabs won't help)

Muhammady - Just rubbish and looked to be one of those with a weak heart when the derby came round.

What I don't understand is, why instead of buying one top class central midfielder to assist Cattermole, did Bruce go and waste money and wages on the average Gardner/Vaughan/Larrsson? Bizarre.

They made the same fuss last year. Remember "shopping at Harrods".

It's actually very funny that the longest thread on the Sunderland board is about Newcastle.

This. The only time I care about Sunderland is on derby day. Maybe this is because Im a Newcastle fan...sometimes I think they get confused. Cant blame them, even when we took a years holiday in the championship we were the bigger club imo.

To be fair there are a few decent guys over there that you can have a sensible football discussion with, but unfortunately these discussions usually get hijacked by the knuckle draggers and degenerate into a slanging match.

Malbranque .... I thought he looked completely past it last season, couldn't believe how poor he was... wouldn't have him anywhere near our side. I actually hope he is playing in the Derby.
