Not really Hate. At least, not in my opinion. Although the 72 was ultimately a better car, it was really an evolution of the 49. In this sense, the 72 was a development (albeit a significant one) from the true revolution created by its predecessor.
I think the true revolution in that era was what made these insane designs move, the legendary DFV engine. Costin and Duckworth changed f1.
All those Lotus may just end up depriving you of the ability to breath in and out though. I'll stick with the FW14B.
The Lotus 49 and 72 used the same engine. My choice for Chapman's revolution is because he changed F1 at a stroke when he introduced the 49: It was the biggest technological leap motor racing has ever seen; and that's why it qualifies as "the greatest ever F1 car" for me.
oooo good call As for the greatest F1 car ever, well I'm not really sure, some start of great and get caught, others are great throughout a year, and some are great year after year with minimal changes (aka the old Lotus')
