Oldspunky is a good old poster from days gone bye as you know ROD........always had a good laugh and p1ss take with him, as well as some more serious debates over the years so I just choose to show him my more Mr nice guy side!

New start for you Monday then? Perhaps you can meet up with him as he resides over this side of the river.......a nice cup of coffee and a cake down the bay perhaps?

Big changes for us all Monday (and Tuesday for us), but can you see it going smoothly?.......not a chance lol.

Just read through this and enjoyed it.

The Swansea option is 100% open to you guys, get your council to build a ground, live way beyond your means and go bust twice, then, hopefully have enough assets to start again and get to the Prem within 10 years. Get the cash injection by ripping off local business and the HMRC. Perfect model and so much more desirable than paying what you owe, albeit very slowly sometimes. If any Swansea posters are reading this: since then I'm full of admiration for what Jenkins has achieved and his record with employing managers has to be the most impressive in football.

The Red shirt thing seems a much bigger issue to other sides fans than us. We'd rather be in blue, you'd rather you had a better ground, team, squad, manager and youth set up. I'd pick our deal, you pick whatever suits.
Don't feed any of this franchise BS to us though. Same fans, ground, club, HISTORY, everything except the home shirts and the badge and loads of clubs change their badge.

    Does it matter?

It started off as decent chat about your club, the game in general, and specifically the differences between our two clubs - look at the article title I put up before jumping in.

If you can't handle decent forum chat, better give up ROD.

What Stevo posted above is spot on, and all I was saying yesterday. You do your own thing over there.

We've made our choice and accept that some posters of clubs that are presently floundering find it difficult to stomach. I would suggest that the stomach churning self rightiousness displayed by some is born oout of envy as much as the "principles" they expound.

No, maybe not Wizey - you've just got a problem with it that you've just clearly demonstrated. The "What's The Difference" title clearly referred to the respective league standings of our two clubs. Read it again.

Hope that local turnip farmer from Cheddar surfaces with a few million quid spare to invest. Grab it with both hands, then lecture us again.

Until then, the indignance displayed by some of you lot would be enough to make us vomit if we weren't laughing so much.

Sparky, honestly,it's none of my business what happens to your club,I simply couldn't care less, enjoy your success and if you are still there at the end of the season I will gladly congratulate you all...

It's just great to provoke responces from you because there is no doubt, although you say you have now moved on,you hold a great eternal passion for the,' Bluebirds '...

    This is true.................<whistle>

That will never change just like our history cannot be changed - and that's good and bad.

Perfect role models are all very fine, unfortunately, they are also very rare. You mentioned Swansea earlier on the thread and if you look a t the last 10 years, most would have to agree. Once again, unfortunately, there lies a chequered past that they down there know about but also choose to ignore.

Best of luck with staying up this season. I hope your directors and management can deliver what you all clearly desire.

What, go bust twice, rip off local businesses and hope it will be third time lucky, which it was! Oh, and play in a council house. We still have debts, but they are being paid. I think THAT model is far superior.
