Another gem from the Wurzels answer to Stephen Hawking. The only thig articulated about this pratt is the lorry he probably drives (or aims). Thanks to the others for the measured responses - it's been fun and I'll still drop by to have a look in.
Hey cheers Redprintt. Seriously wouldn't want you to fall through that trap door despite the stick we give each other on here from time to time. Stick from each of our neighbours 40 miles each side of us is par for the course. It works both ways and is only fun. If we don't maange to finally get up, it wont be for the want of trying nor lack of support on the ground from the Cardiff supporters.
Bristol City have clearly identified a move to Ashton Vale as the future of Bristol City. The option of re-developing Ashton gate still exists according to Steve Lansdown. It is hard to believe Steve Lansdown given his financing of the club and future develpoments e.g academy would be commercially negligent. BCFC will not be in the position where it will be necessitating foreign ownership, and where the clubs colours, its very identity, the things that survive the changes of time at every club outside of Cardiff/Wimbledon/MK have to be sabotaged on the whims of a new owner who comes across as amazingly rich yes, but a total hatstand. The Cardff - Dragon - red shirt rebrand model of going nearly bust to "maybe" boom is backwards thinking.
Clifton - Can we agree to disagree then please? Your immotive stance regarding the recent changes at Cardiff smacks distinctly of sour grapes however you dress it up. Should we go up and you go down, or whatever combination you like to imagine, I will enjoy my football and my time on here. Needless to say, I hope you do too. The difference in opinions as to the way forward is just that - opinions nothing more. I hope the majority of your fellow posters over there take the same sanctimonious approach as you, though I very much doubt it.
Your immotive stance regarding the recent changes at Cardiff smacks distinctly of sour grapes however you dress it up ... Or a case of thinking the change - debts in question were ludicrous and that those responsible should not be in charge of clubs, and the new owner appears at best cranky. Can we agree to disagree then please? Of course.
Apart from "the new owners appear at best cranky" (what the hell does that mean, perhaps you mean "foreign", is that it?), I agree entirely with your last post. So I suppose on that basis, unless a turnip farmer from cheddar comes up with a few million, you'd be happy to see your club sink into the depths? I sometimes despair at the blinkered approach of some fans - we had a few over here but thank God, common sense prevailed. Enjoy your trip Clifton, and all who sail in her.
Well guys, I'm logging off for the night and must say I've thoroughly enjoyed this chat. There is no substitute for talking about our game between fellow and opposition supporters alike. Different strokes for different folks I say. Just remember this. When you find yourself at a loose end all day, don't persist or you'll make it sore.........
Football for most clubs is all about up's & down's...Cardiff may join Swansea in the Prem. & good luck to them I say, however, other than a New Stadium there's nothing I would have different here at Bristol City, it looks like we may drop down to League One, however our day will come again when we play Cardiff/Swansea in the same division or above!! anyhow I have still not given up on us staying in the Championship, how could I think any different, I'am City fan of over 50 years & seen it all before...COME ON YOU REDS!!
Hey guys - here's something we've got for you. We've just taken Earnie back off loan from his spell with Maccabi Tel Aviv. Any use to you? Surely he'd make a better centre back than you've got at the moment?
You come on here and say your not wumming and wanted genuine answers. Then you throw things like this into it. Is it because your so jealous of Swansea that you want us to be jealous of you?? At the moment it has been mentioned before yes you have the upper hand on us at the present time, but if you are old enough to appreciate Richie Blackmore you will know bragging rights change! Enjoy it, I know we will when it reverses. Just concentrate on keeping mr Tan happy and you should have a good few years
RedorDead - I see the sense of humour bypass operation was a complete success. The thread was a serious one, but sometimes a bit of levity eases the tension. Seek therapy before the trap door opens, or you'll personally sink into the abyss. This forum, just like ours across the water thrives on interaction and generates goodwill. There is room for serious and meaningfull discussion and room for some jovial chat alongside it.
No humour by pass here! You was the one that asked what we would want of yours if we could have it. If I had to make a choice it would be your home shirts. It looks better and has more Red than ours apart from the badge
Have I got to be nice to Old Sparky CCR, I'm not going to have to deal with him when I start my new role am I
