Match Day Thread What's It All About Chairboys v Shrews 13th Aug 22

The Chairboys are back at Adams Park for the visit of the Shrews looking to put last weeks poor performance behind them, the Shrews got their first win of the season on Tuesday in the League Cup with a 3-2 win at home against League 2 Carlisle, we have a good record against the Shrews having lost only once in the last 11 games although we could only draw with them at AP back in February.
Gaz has added former Chairboys player of the year and ex Premier League Alfie Mawson to the squad and he is likely to start alongside Tafa with Grimmer returning to right back some of the fringe players are pushing for a start after impressing in midweek.
I will be at this one teaming up with Soldier and Slasher for their first appearance of the season taking on some liquid refreshments before the game in readiness for the hot temperatures and looking forward to seeing the lads continue their fine home form

If it's anything like here, after 5mins the sweat will be pouring down their faces. I have to come in frequently to pour cups of hot water over the back of my neck and over my head, then sit down with a cold drink before I can continue working outside. Good luck to them if they play. There could be some odd results.
