The Queens plate is one of the biggest races of the year in Canada (june 26th),and last Saturday there was a trial race,It was won by Queensplate Kitten and another horse called Oh Canada came third to book their places in the big race.
I think every punter from Vancover Island on the west coast to Newfoundland on the east will be putting their share of $ on these two just because of the names.
Both do have a legit chance to win, but because of their names, you should be able to get some very good prices on other good horses who have a better chance winning.
It would be a good story if either do actually win the Queens Plate.
Anyone know of a situation similar to this before, if so let me know.
