It's the exact attitude IMO that being a tit in victory and showing no dignity will turn our fan base into one of the most disliked set of fans out there It's the old Anglo Saxon coming out I guess This thread is about Harold and what has he done for us? In 90 minutes he is now Churchill We won and that is beautiful and I am glad we did There were heroes but just for one day I love a slice of luck but IMO never try and understand it for it then becomes normal and the magic dies I also guarantee everyone on this site If we had of lost the flavour of the fickle would be a lot different Totally done and off to a decent place
I know to the anti Harry brigade this won't means dot, I just add it as I hadn't heard It mentioned until I saw Barton and O'neil talking about someone called "blacky"? It turns out to be a psychologist that rednapp brought in over the last couple of months, they both agreed that he has worked magic. So the haters can say so what, it was him that gave the players some fight. Others will say that what a great move by Harry. I would say that a lot of fans need to look at themselves, as I can see why so many other fans are starting to hate us. One thing qpr fans of old will tell you, we all stood together and defended the club with venom. We might have been little old Qpr, but we stuck up for ourselves as fans and defended our team no matter what, not because we believed it, we knew the truth, but we didn't care. But now, we don't need opposing fans to slag us off, we have a new breed who are never happy, even the day after winning promotion to the premier league in the most dramatic final ever. I just wish it was as it used to be, where no matter your personal opinion, you stood up for the team, supported every player, the manager and let everyone know we were qpr, leave it to the haters to hate us.
Love it !! On such a great occasion, some are looking excuses to vindicate their own poor judgement. We are together, we are QPR !!!!! Pretty football, yup very nice. But, on such a crucial occasion, grit and determination, when all seems lost, and fighting til the last drop of blood
Now I understand. Being a 'band of brothers' means not being able to express your views unless it coincides with those of the majority. "We are together. We are QPR." Don't make me laugh. It is not disloyalty to point out the obvious. Well at least I know which of you and there are plenty out there, who would be the first in the lynch mob, the first to sell out your own 'brothers' and the first to jump on a passing bandwagon. I also know who will be the first to jump on when we lose two games in a row next season and the first to call for Redknapp's head.
The happy clappers we're right all along! The doom mongers will shout louder to prove their point! Me I'm just happy we went up when I truly didn't think we would. I thought we would lose to derby. The playoffs seemed to show a real sense of togetherness and that my friends is what won it. I missed the game as I was in the air at the time so I'm looking forward to watching it upon my return. Although my son text me the result and as I read it in baggage collection I confess to a Loud Yeeeessssssss! Much to bemused holidaymakers!
That's Steve Black, an ex rugby union coach, who has worked with people like Jonny Wilkinson and flogs himself on the corporate circuit, as a 'motivational speaker'. He's the one Barton said would have made him captain of England for 10 years if he had met him earlier. I'm not sure if he works with Barton 1:1 at Barton's request or if he works for the club. As for your 'let's go back to the old days' stuff I don't know how long you have followed the R's or how many games you go to, but in my recollection (since 1972) we have always been a fickle and hard to please crowd.. I remember Docherty and the team getting a lot of stick in the seventies, and hardly a supportive atmosphere for large chunks of the 90s, even when we were in the Prem. The only difference is that we have places like this to share views more easily nowadays. If you think the way to support a club is to suspend all your critical faculties permanently, that's your prerogative. I won't be joining you.
He's got us to mid table obscurity He' got us a decent looking squad (right back and striker aside I grant you)
He's also got us what seems like a very, very good midfield destroyer. Something I think we have lacked for some time. Don't think Sandro would have come to us without Harry. Who was our last really, really good midfield destroyer?
Yeah but tbf, Harry has bought and sold 35% of the players in the PL since it was formed and many of them keep returning to be with him. Doesn't necessarily make them good players. I can't say that Sandro has impressed me when I've seen him play but I don't pretend to have seen anything more than match highlights over the last couple of years. What makes you think he's so special? The evidence of your own eyes or the write ups about him and the testimonial by none other than our 'arold.
The many spurs fans that are genuinely gutted that he's gone kinda makes me thinks he has got something about him. If it had been just one or two of them, I might have been sceptical, but by weight of numbers (and there seem to be hundreds of positive testimonials) he must be a descent player. And remember they see him week in week out.
Fair enough. If a player pleases his club's fans, I agree that does sound promising. Mind you I've come across a number of Citeh fans who assured me that SWP was the real deal.
I'll concede to you on SWP. Let's hope the spud fans aren't doing the same. I just have a good feeling in my water re. Sandro.
he's left us close to safety with half a decent squad he's given us some really great home games this season
