What's happened to our board?

You do put up some good articles but you do put up some pointless one's and you are far from the only one who does. There are plenty on here that I don't even comment on.

 

You only post them on here, because you're too scared to post them on the general thread.

 

I remember a certain amount of begging went on to not put a certain thread on GC.

 

That wasn't one from Tash was it, was always going to get flack there, especially with people like Edge and Shameless.

 

It's so obvious they would pick on him for going on there. But I just despise coming home from college, just wanting to speak about my football team, read some news on one of my favourite sites. Then getting bombarded with ****e, which I hear every ten minutes in college "Hey, getting gears of war 3?" "What music you into mate" All day, the same questions, I wouldn't even mind it if it was about Fifa 12! Atleast it's football! JUST SOMETHING FOOTBALL!

 

To be fair there are plenty of the topics on here I don't comment on because I have no interest in doing so, there are still always articles to comment on.

 

I just feel there shouldn't be any..The over zealous moderated BBC 606 wouldn't even allow this Which is why I loved it. (Yes they where waaaayyy over the top) But it just get's my balls in a knot when the amount of threads about music and video games outweighs threads about the match..It's a football forum. I can't stress that enough!

No more off topic threads - they should be moved to General Chat. I hope the moderators will support this?

 

I hoped it would start to redeem itself after the rep thing was finished but it hasn't really improved. I love the fact that the forum is rapidly expanding but there ain't half a load of divvies on here of late.

 

The main priority should be football and Newcastle United but nothing wrong with the odd, other article but people at times do go OTT with it.

 

It was of a rather sensitive nature which involved an innocent second party that I didn't think deserved to be ridiculed by the gross stupidly of her son and his desire to post as many threads as possible on any topic that came into his head without any thought to the person concerned.

 

In all honesty? No. I'm not moving all OT threads to General Chat. We've never ever talked just football. I'm in agreement that there are too many pointless threads about at the minute, but some OT threads are absolutely fine. One's about games will be moved to the gaming thread, the music ones I can do nothing about unfortunately (but are rather fricking annoying), and any other OT threads in future will be closely moderated. It's just a bit of relief, sometimes, on slow days.

I think a lot of us would rather talk off topic things to each other on this board than on GC.

 

No not the one I was thinking of, not that I go over there very often, spend 90 odd percent of my time on the site on this board.

 

You could create a music thread.

 

You can't blame it on OT threads, they've been some of the best ever, but people who post news that's a week old or the 20th article about Santon's knee should be warned, especially if they're creating five threads per day.

 

You could just close the threads and then direct people to Shearer's eBar.

 

Alright, looking back at Not606 history. Tash' off topic threads, have been hysterical. But this is getting nuts. How about no music threads? We all have different music tastes and Tash has barley anyone supporting his taste. So why does he continue to post them? He's already seen as an emo kid..

Keep off topic threads, but how about every user doesn't post 3 a day?

 

I don't wanna close/delete any threads now because it makes a mess of the forums, and besides the main troublemakers, so to speak, are the 3 music threads and I can't do anything about them. But yeah, anything minor should probably be kept to Shearers eBar from now on.
