Its no good having players with the best technical ability we have had for years but not having a leader who can motivate, organize, and mould these individuals into a coherent team. Jewell isn't able to mould this team as quite simply he doesn't even know what his strongest team is. When you play players out of position like Martin and not to their strengths, you can't wonder why we aren't performing too well. We were promised this season we wouldn't be reliant on short term loans and here we are only 8 or 9 games into the season and we have Luongo, Higginbottom, N'Daw, Murphy and now Moshni. This is 5 loans so how the hell does this help with building a team for the long term? Under Burley we never had quick fixes like this and to a large extent even under BFJ! We will not achieve anything being run like this and I am just not surprised that we are in the bottom 3 as a consequence. Its hardly rocket science that the better teams are well drilled, organised and have stability with the players playing with each other over a couple of seasons. We all moan that Clegg is incapable of signing players but if you look at reality he has signed 85 players since he has been here! 85 Players in 4 seasons and this is where the major problems lays. <ok>

SD and tractorbhoy I would say that the quality of our side is alot better than it has been for years but we don't have the players to compliment that quality. I actually think we have a good set of players and one's who in the main give their all for the cause more so than previous seasons. I think the players on the whole do care and do put in the effort but what we don't have to compliment this is leadership or if things are going against us players that won't break under the pressure and that will pick themsevles up, pick the team up and continue to play with their head held high, with a player like De Vos at the back and a player like Alan Lee upfront I really believe we would be a much better team. Look at the difference a player like Higginbotham has made, he's not the best player but he brings a resiliance to the team.

I really do not have a problem with any of the players really at the club in terms of quality, what we need is more players to compliment what we have and perhaps lead what we have. Chambers has looked far better CB with Higginbotham beside him, we as a team have looked far more resiliant and IMO Chopra would look a far better player if he had someone like Alan Lee upfront with him, to do the donkey work!!

Would rather we had signed 8 players who have made a difference to the team than 85 who have not. Clegg is still not good enough to sign the players we really want, but he's good at getting waifs and strays through the door.

    <ok> Quality rather than quantity!

We are also getting DJ Campbell and Richie Wellens in on loan tomorrow so that will be a grand total of 9 loanees this season! This is a shocking way to run a football club!

If that means a spell on the sidelines for Chops then I would welcome DJ. We have a lot of midfielders but if Wellens brings more quality then I would welcome him too. Just because we have numbers in a certain area of the pitch doesn't mean somebody else can't come in and do better. We seem to create good chances but can't finish them. I saw Chops missed another sitter.

A shocking way of running a football club though isn't it!

85 Players signed in 4 years most of them as loanees on short term contracts and at the same time we buy off our own players or let go for nothing! This is complete and utter ****ing madness! Why aren't we demonstrating outside Portman Road FFS! People need to wake up to the grim reality that we find this once great football club in!

    Is it really 85 JWM?
That's just amazing and as you say, no way to run a football club.
It's probably about the same number we had signed from 1975 up until ME took over <laugh>

Ooh, you might be onto something there Hog. I feel a mutiny coming on. I'll happily show my face on a live stream if somebody wants to hold their I-pad up.
How about a burning of Marcus Evans sponsored shirts?

Norwich had the same number of loan players in their team when they got relegated and I can see the same happening with us! The big difference is that I can't see us coming back as quickly as they did. We have deep rooted problems at our football club and it will take a clean sweep of personnel and basically starting again!

Health & Safety issues with that SD! <laugh>

Perhaps if we all turned up in high viz jackets though that might do the trick!

Bound to get good press though JWM.
I wonder if I could get a cheap ticket from the airline company by claiming a death (ITFC) in the family.
I feel a bit anarchistic right now.

Burn the shirts, burn the shirts!!!!!!!!!!!

I find it hard to believe it is 85 but it certainly has been alot and I agree 100% that it is a poor way to run a club and definately does not help with getting stability in.

Perhaps that bloke who told Jewell to resign before the Brighton game will make his feelings known! <ok>

I did exactly that to Keane on 55mins of the Barnsley game in the 2010/11 season....

Back then I had season tickets in britannia stand, I stated during my half time pint that if we conceded the 1st goal in the 2nd half I was going down to the dugout to tell Keane exactly what I thought of him, this I did before being ushered away by the stewards but I am sure he could hear me, I did get a small ripple of applause from a handful of fans in ear shot, me & my son spent the rest of the afternoon in Rileys....It took a bit longer than I wanted but 7 league games later he was gone....<cheers>

The problem being that as much as Jewell is on his way out Im still not convinced he is the biggest problem. Im not defending Jewell but the club appears to be *****ed from top to bottom at the moment and to quote your often used phrase Im not sure if changing manager will be akin to rearranging the tables on the titanic. We need a win tomorrow, just to add some positivity. I dont care anymore about saving players/ managers/ owners arses. I just want us to get out of this shockingly pitiful shambles.
