    Lets face it. Merson is only on the show to add comedy value. Nobody takes his comments seriously including his fellow pundits.

    But if they got rid of him we'd only end up with another boring ex Liverpool or Arsenal player so better the devil you know.

    Yeah he does for some reason. To be honest do any of the regular sky pundits like us. I've always had the feeling Nicholas, Thompson and Le Tiss aren't exactly fans either? They seem to criticise us at the drop of a hat and any praise seems to be grudgingly given and halfhearted (although I accept that Thompson's reaction to the Arsenal comeback was good and fair)!

    Merson is a right tit but I still have time for the afternoon Sky show;
    there's always that feeling that Chris Kamara will let slip more comedy
    gold on a par with his "fighting like beavers" comment about Spurs v's
    Arsenal! lol

    Hmmmm...

    Kammy: Spurs are fighting like badgers...'
    Jeff: 'Did I hear that correctly? Fighting like badgers? Not tigers or lions but badgers; those ferocious little devils'
    Kammy: '...they're carving them up, as easy as, well, as easy as anything Jeff...
    Jeff: 'Carving them up, as easy as, as easy as badgers was the word you were looking for Chris?'

    Cheers!

    Yeah I live in the old town so odds are you walked past my flat. I grew up in Newcastle though. If you find yourself back here some time shout out, it'd be good to have a jar or two with a fellow geordie, make a change from speaking czech all the time!
