Yes I have one of these. I'm there now.
The great Donald got it right when uttered those prophetic thoughts.

"There are known knowns; there are things we know that we know.
There are known unknowns; that is to say there are things that, we now know we don't know.
But there are also unknown unknowns – there are things we do not know we don't know."

I know that I personally don't know what he knows, and I know that I don't know whether knowing that I don't know, make a knowable difference. Maybe admitting that knowing that I don't know what he knows about the unknowns, is of no consequence when it comes to racing, but I do know that knowing something about the Bangor 14:00, is most helpful when it comes to knowing about the things we know. And knowing that, That's The Deal makes a lot of sense.

If you didnt know what deal you were getting would you go ahead and make the deal anyway... You see if by making the deal, then you must know something about the deal, and in that case the deal must be worth making. But if you are just trying to make the deal because you know that in doing so you will learn a bit about the deal then maybe the deal isnt worth making...

But the deal has to be made if you unknowingly know or didnt know that this deal would be a good one. As dealings go Cyc i can see that you know that we know that this is a deal worth knowing about...

Many thanks...<cheers><laugh><laugh>

I agree, if I know something about a deal, then I might take a shot at it. I might not know the unknowns, but I would know enough of the knowns, to take a punt. Hopefully then, the known unknowns would become knowns, enabling me to finish in front.

As you intimated when you stated, " But the deal has to be made if you unknowingly know or didnt know that this deal would be a good one." that it then just becomes a matter of faith. I guess That's The Deal.

Cyc/Red: You have both summed-up the business of punting on racehorses exquisitely and eruditely.............<ok>
