I would rather we didn't sign anyone than just brought in players for the sake of it. I feel Forte was a bit of a last minute acquisition last year and whilst he did score some important goals I don't think he will play much. Quality over quantity. Finally if we didn't sign anyone I would not be gutted as there is still the loan market, but it would mean we are relying on young defenders such as Martin and Seabourne rapidly adapting to the Championship if we are trying to make the play-offs.
very disappointed and I think NA would be as well.......really think if he can get a couple of his transfers targets on the bus we have a great chance of pushing for the top 2
I would be incandescent with rage, Skate have made a major signing from Lewes, we must match that if we can.
Actually, I would just assume that players that we wanted could not be obtained for the right price, and it wouldn't change my view that Adkins/Cortese know what they doing. This is based on the fact that the signing so far have been excellent. I don't include/ worry about players brought in on loan or 1 year deals, as they are obviously just in case, and not expected to feature at all unless injuries pile up. No signings today? What about the quality already arrived in the last few weeks?

Is it just a young fan thing where we MUST sign players? Personally I would think that the existing squad (albeit with a few additions already) would see it as a huge confidence boost. Like the gaffer saying 'I don't need anyone else, you guys are brilliant' That may mean we gain even more of a bosst to the squad performance than adding any more players. Is that just me or other people don't se this? Obviously with a team like Man City full of mercenary players they view not signing 'bran name' players as a sign that they their team lack ambition but for a squad like we have where they are playing for the badge, not just the money et al and enjoying playing for the club etc is it the same scenario. Could our players see it as more a case of confidence from above rather than a lack of ambition? Andy
