Struggling to believe some of these comments! I want us up and clear of the pack as soon as possible. If we don't get an automatic position, the third placed team often bottles it.

This season will be extremely close. Most people probably appreciate that the two top spots are between Saints, West Ham and Reading. Of the three, the momentum is clearly with Reading who seem unstoppable at the moment whereas West Ham appear to be better away from home. I wouldn't be surprised if Reading came first either but they seem overdue a few poor results! I've got a funny feeling about them and have my doubts as to whether Allardyce will delivery the goods. What worries me is the games in hand as I would like to see our oppostion lose these. After watching the football on TV this afternoon, I feel that the pundits aren't wrong and Leeds will make a serious, late bid.

the question implies that all options guarantee promotion, so it'd be much sweeter and memorable to win the league from a last minute goal on the last day rather than having it guaranteed before the last game. We've already experienced that with Walsall.

C would be great, if we were hitting a late run to scrape into the playoffs, but having led the way all season it would be careless to have to do it that way, so I'd prefer A.
